I have only tested out the internet briefly and I'm on WIFI most of the time using the iPhone.

That said, I used 1.2gb in the first month, and that's mainly (I figure 98%) e-mail.

yeah, but not everyone is as famous as you! lol

But that's something else they should factor, the fact that the iPhone has Wifi so many users will use wifi instead of data when their at home...

And I find most of the newer phones coming out (iPhone, Instinct, HTC, etc) having all kinds of useless features that are better left for a laptop or computer than a phone... but people still buy into them, because hey, everyone wants to be on top of the chain, admired for having the latest, coolest, most expensive gadget in the city.

Fan boys...

I'm reverting back to a simple phone with a sexy edge to it, just for shits and giggles... and leaving all the internet browsing, mp3 playing and video recording to devices that were built just for that and do it much better than any phone can actually emulate... back to Samsung, baby:

My cousin in Cyprus has this, awesome phone. Love the 'touch' feature that you use while not even pushing a button (at least the first two main buttons before the slider are like that from what I remember). It's as if a lot of the phones nowadays have that.

okey so?
I meant that you stressed that Samsung and Nokia are only good cell phones-wise
in fact Samsung also makes a shitload of other appliances which are great, but majority are only sold in Europe

my cousin in Ukraine has this one (lol what is this with cousins?)
anyway his biggest complaint is how freaking sensitive the center button is

I dunno? (The cousin thing) I remember the center button being super touchy as well. Ah well.

Yes, b/c this is a cellphone thread, not home appliance thread.

BlackBerry Storm goes into TA (technical acceptance) at Verizon, delayed 3-4 weeks

Heres our latest info on the BlackBerry Storm and the fate of the device on Verizons network: it just went into technical acceptance at Verizon which usually takes around 3-4 weeks, and the device has been delayed internally by around 3-4 weeks while they work out the kinks (read: buggy and unresponsive) and polish it up. That puts us around a mid-November launch on Verizon. Weve double confirmed that information, so it should be pretty accurate. Additionally, we heard from someone else that theyve increased the marketing budget for the BlackBerry Storm just to give AT&T a little kick in the nuts for delaying the Bold so much. Thats not confirmed, still probably a little true, plus we got a chuckle out of that anyway.

Welcome to the real world Apple & Blackberry, it's not easy to have a touch screen, high res screens and 3rd Party app support.

I;m hoping this unit will be successful. I love Palm and respect Blackberry a lot. If this unit kicks off smooth ... from now on, I will have both Palm and Blackberry as my main units.

Looks pretty sweet. I wouldn't mind toying with it, but again, meh to touchscreen stuff.

Anybody know what kind of touchscreen it is though? Capacitive or resistive?

Roger's ver is unlimited after 6pm instead.

Gonna change my plan to this, sometime this week. If you gonna do the same, I suggest a hardware up grade aswell, since this contract is 3 yrs too.

I have no idea what to get for the hardware upgrade ... nothing I like out now and this plan will end. It's gonna be either the Nokia N95, Blackberry Curve or iPhone. This unit will be my ME NOT CARE unit, chuck it, drop it and even if i make it float on water ... ME NOT CARE! Or give it to my mom, if thats the case ... iPhone is perfect for old ppl.

FUck them, why is it only on a 3 year plan?!

because its a pretty good deal?

I've been on it for about 6-7 months now and its great.

Since i'm at work during the day, I never use my cell phone during those hours. Pretty much everything I do is after 5pm, and I don't need 200 minutes for that 1 hour...

i wonder if i could haggle for unlimted incoming as well.

Posted by tvmann on Sep-08-2008 16:09:

Re Fido, my friend wanted to renew his contract and called them about that $17.50 deal. The CSR ended up giving him an even better deal for 2 years including caller ID, unlimited incoming, 200 minutes primetime, similar price (possibly lower). Both of us were shocked he got such a good deal and think maybe it was because he wasn't being pushy and neither was the CSR.

The problem is Fido is really slack (so far) about sending out confirming info on the exact terms so he's not really sure he'll get all that they talked about. I'm gonna try for the same deal if his is confirmed.

Good thread here on Fido plan renewals: http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/...ad.php?t=376936

I love that you even have to haggle for that.

Text messages should be like snail mail, the sender pays all the fees!
