We'll find out in two weeks, last night's game was pretty damn big and I don't know if we'll see such an exciting game in Florida.

^^^^ NEIN! It was Grossman's passing last week that set up the tying and winning FG's and his mother fucking brilliant Joe Montanaesque drive on Sunday (albeit that was his only worthy passing drive) that really put the game out of reach for the Saints. When his arm is on, it's on. And he's getting better at not making retarded throws into double and triple coverage lately. I don't think he'll ever be a Tom Brady or Peyton Manning but he's clearly not shit. Teams don't win in spite of their QBs, they win due in part because of them.
Vern, you deleted the message I was responding to....bitch!

he has the ability to throw fucking laser bombs though man, you have to admit that. I can't remember the last time the Bears had a QB with this much potential.
But the difference is making the throws when they count and so far, Rex is so so in the regular season. It's not totally proven yet that Grossman can't make the big play in the BIG GAME when it counts because, in the last two games, he has come up with some impressive ones.
All he has to do is not turn the ball over and come up with a few big throws. Which he did last game. The defense/special teams combination is that good. Look at Baltimore and Trent Dilfer. Would you call him even a decent QB? Not really but he didn't turn the ball over. Bears have enough weapons to win the game as long as Grossman doesn't play like he did against Minnesota for example. What I mean is that he isn't gonna be the reason Chicago wins. No way.
11 for 26 is still horrible no matter which way you rose color it. Yeah he makes a good throw but inevitably is followed by one batted down and one crazily overthrown. I watched the game, it wasn't pretty most of the time. There is 25 other QB's that could win with the rest of the team.
well I agree with you there. I think the main reasons for Chicago's potential victory will be obviously the defense forcing turnovers and preventing good field position. After that, the running game was awesome on Sunday although I don't expect Thomas Jones to have another 125 yard game. Also, Robbie Gould is pretty much automatic on the FGs. But if Grossman goes, say, 15 for 25, 250 yards, 2 Tds, 0 interceptions, I won't be surprised.
The Colts defense yesterday wasn't that impressive so there could be some holes. I'm worried about Chicago's pass coverage though. They're very hot and cold.

Kordell Stewart, Cade McNown and Kyle Orton certainly never would have done that in Grossman's position had they been there. You guys (and most of the media) are way too hard on this guy. He's only 25 and has played less than 1.5 seasons as a starting QB. Let's see how he does in the next few seasons before writing him off. |
Jim McMahon was fucking overrated if you ask me and the so called brilliant draft pick, Jim Harbaugh? Blah. Imagine if the Bears had somebody like Joe Montana or John Elway in the 80s? Nobody would have won a Superbowl for ten fucking years.

Put Joe Montana on a lot of teams and they win. Kind of silly. Put any great QB on a mediocre team and he can make them great.
Vince Young has less experience than Rex Grossman. I'm 100% confident if he was the Bears QB, Super Bowl would be over. Talent or no talent has a way of shining through. It's not inexperience that throws 6 for 24 for 34 yards, 3 INT's. That's suckiness. Again, Bears can win if he doesn't commit mistakes which he has been able to do the last few weeks.
I agree 100% with Commie's comments (Aristronica).
Game will be decided by a field goal. Both good kickers too.
