The Superbowls final score will prolly be something like Bears over Indy 48 to 0.

Well maybe if the Bears didnt show up to play.

We'll find out in two weeks, last night's game was pretty damn big and I don't know if we'll see such an exciting game in Florida.

i think the bears-colts match is going to be a very good match, much better than the previous super bowls in the past couple of years.

If I ever meet you, we'll probably end up in fisticuffs. I don't ever agree with anything you say.

Anyway, all you Bears doubters can all now either eat your shit and die or bend over and suck your own cocks for survival, because you look like complete fucking tools. And that goes for EVERYONE who works for ESPN. Isn't it great having egg all over your fucking faces?

HAHAHAHAHA! My fucking team is in the fucking Super Bowl so all of you can piss right the fuck off.

It's going to be a good game I think. I was so fucking tired of the pansies whining for "America's Team:. America's Team was fucking schooled! Gotta love Fuckface Aikman on FOX whining about the weather. Football is meant to be played outside, not inside a dome. Domes are retarded.

Any of you who think Manning is going to pass for a million yards and throw for 6 TDs clearly are stupid. It's not going to go down that way, remember I said it. I respect Manning and won't be angry if he wins, but he will NOT have an easy time. In fact, if Grossman upstages him, I wont' be surprised.

same defense that allowed 24 points to the seahawks?

this should be a great one. I'll obivously pick the bears to cover since the game will be decided by 3 points

hopefully vinatieri kicks the GW FG just to stick it to the pats fans

It was Grossman's BRILLIANT passing drive that put the game away for the Bears, don't forget that. His rating in the playoffs has been on par with Manning's as well if you care to LOOK AT THE STATS. Obviously Manning is miles better, but Grossman is not shit.

I think all of you forget this is his first real season. He has only played 25 NFL games in his entire life and he's already got his team to the Super Bowl.

It shows how many of you talk out of your fucking asses.

^^^^ NEIN! It was Grossman's passing last week that set up the tying and winning FG's and his mother fucking brilliant Joe Montanaesque drive on Sunday (albeit that was his only worthy passing drive) that really put the game out of reach for the Saints. When his arm is on, it's on. And he's getting better at not making retarded throws into double and triple coverage lately. I don't think he'll ever be a Tom Brady or Peyton Manning but he's clearly not shit. Teams don't win in spite of their QBs, they win due in part because of them.

Vern, you deleted the message I was responding to....bitch!

yeah...cuz members already made that point about how the bears win despite of Grossman

I like the (premature) Grossman-Favre comparison. Favre didn't exactly light the league on fire his first 3 seasons. He makes some brilliant passes but makes some equally dumb ones. If Rexy is still posting regular sub-40 passer ratings a season or two from now, I'll acquiese.

Anyway, bah. If the Bears win the SB then nobody can say shit. It's going to be a tough task for Da Bears though, no question there.

As I'm looking at the stats

Manning played against much better defenses this postseason (ranked 12th, 1st and 2nd in average number of points allowed this year). Grossman had to face the 19th and the 13th ranked defense this year. So it wouldn't surprise too many when they have comparable QB ratings when you consider skill to be a factor.

as an aside: I still can't believe this rex grossman was the same guy who was an absolute stud when he played for the Florida Gators. I'd love for him to show chitown that he can blossom into that form one of these days

Posted by Dj Smitty20 on Jan-23-2007 06:20:

he has the ability to throw fucking laser bombs though man, you have to admit that. I can't remember the last time the Bears had a QB with this much potential.

But the difference is making the throws when they count and so far, Rex is so so in the regular season. It's not totally proven yet that Grossman can't make the big play in the BIG GAME when it counts because, in the last two games, he has come up with some impressive ones.

Posted by Member of X on Jan-23-2007 06:28:

All he has to do is not turn the ball over and come up with a few big throws. Which he did last game. The defense/special teams combination is that good. Look at Baltimore and Trent Dilfer. Would you call him even a decent QB? Not really but he didn't turn the ball over. Bears have enough weapons to win the game as long as Grossman doesn't play like he did against Minnesota for example. What I mean is that he isn't gonna be the reason Chicago wins. No way.

11 for 26 is still horrible no matter which way you rose color it. Yeah he makes a good throw but inevitably is followed by one batted down and one crazily overthrown. I watched the game, it wasn't pretty most of the time. There is 25 other QB's that could win with the rest of the team.

Posted by Dj Smitty20 on Jan-23-2007 06:34:

well I agree with you there. I think the main reasons for Chicago's potential victory will be obviously the defense forcing turnovers and preventing good field position. After that, the running game was awesome on Sunday although I don't expect Thomas Jones to have another 125 yard game. Also, Robbie Gould is pretty much automatic on the FGs. But if Grossman goes, say, 15 for 25, 250 yards, 2 Tds, 0 interceptions, I won't be surprised.

The Colts defense yesterday wasn't that impressive so there could be some holes. I'm worried about Chicago's pass coverage though. They're very hot and cold.

if he ever reaches his potential, he'll throw machine like lasers to everyone, be a top notch fantasy QB, and sell popcorn on the stands and save babies from burning buildings all at the same time

you're nuts. they'll win if he goes 10 of 25 for 118 yrds 0 Tds and 0 int/fmb

end of story.

His defence got his team to the Superbowl, grossman's tried his hardest to make sure his team didnt get there, lucky for you it didnt work though. The chaps is a rubbish QB. A fucking apple has better decision making ability then Grossman.

anyway, kiffin as head coach? thats just fucking brilliant.

When was the last time that a Chicago QB had the ability to throw 4 brilliant passes into the endzone to put an NFC championship game away or complete two laser passes in the divisional game to set up the game tying and later winning FG? Kordell Stewart, Cade McNown and Kyle Orton certainly never would have done that in Grossman's position had they been there.

You guys (and most of the media) are way too hard on this guy. He's only 25 and has played less than 1.5 seasons as a starting QB. Let's see how he does in the next few seasons before writing him off.

nah Grossman sucks. Yeah hes been better than some qb's chicago has had, but he still sucks. imo most of the good plays & games hes had was pure luck. But its not like we ever had a good qb anyways. In the 22 years ive been a bears fan only 1 years stands out for me where a qb did great. But thats bears football i guess. having a good running game & defence, but never any qb's or recievers.

Posted by Dj Smitty20 on Jan-24-2007 01:04:

Jim McMahon was fucking overrated if you ask me and the so called brilliant draft pick, Jim Harbaugh? Blah. Imagine if the Bears had somebody like Joe Montana or John Elway in the 80s? Nobody would have won a Superbowl for ten fucking years.

Yep i always thought that about him too. McMahon never was healthy long enough to even throw for 3000 yards. Fucking guy was a pussy, but i loved his attitude.

Posted by Member of X on Jan-24-2007 01:35:

Put Joe Montana on a lot of teams and they win. Kind of silly. Put any great QB on a mediocre team and he can make them great.

Vince Young has less experience than Rex Grossman. I'm 100% confident if he was the Bears QB, Super Bowl would be over. Talent or no talent has a way of shining through. It's not inexperience that throws 6 for 24 for 34 yards, 3 INT's. That's suckiness. Again, Bears can win if he doesn't commit mistakes which he has been able to do the last few weeks.

I agree 100% with Commie's comments (Aristronica).

Game will be decided by a field goal. Both good kickers too.
