I recently picked up the old Sasha EP with tracks Xpander, Belfunk, Rabbitweed and Baja

and I thought id like to let you all know that I think Belfunk is one hell of a tune and kicks Xpanders ass so hard

Yes, it's a very good mixer, but I'm gonna need to save up if I'm ever to buy one for myself. I think they cost $1900. Mind you, it's definitely worth it. Everything about it screams professional.

how long you hiring the gear for dowlz?

From last Sunday till Friday. It cost me $50, which isn't bad, since normally it costs about $80/night to hire the gear. I'm not certain what the normal price is to hire this kind of equipment because I work for the guy who I'm hiring the stuff off and I often hire speakers off him too = fairly decent discount.

hiring sounds like a good idea. Although i think it can take a while to get a used to a mixer. It's taken me a few weeks to get used to my new one

well I own a DJM-300, so it was very difficult to move over to the DJM-600. And trust me, the move was definitely worth it. There's just so many nice features on this model. And without a doubt, the best features is the variable cue/master monitor setting. Do you know what I'm talking about. You can change the proportion in your headphones of the cue and master levels = very very useful, especially when you're just entering the new song into a mix.

Also, I love playing with the flanger effect
