this movie was weak and a waste of my time.
i felt like i was in a mechwarrior video game. mindless shooting.
2% of the movie takes place in the matrix and it sucked.
pathetic attempt at the final chapter which ruined the trilogy in my opinion.
wow...I really liked most of it.
neo and smith are opposites, they cancel each other, so you THINK that neo is dead. I personally dont think he is. because when Neo was being carried away on the death ship type thing, it went to the 'orange matrix' view type thing that Neo had. Makes me think he is still alive.
I thought the neo vs smith fight was pretty weak. lets fly around and spin about and run you into the ground. whoopdeedoo
I dont see how anybody can justify calling the Wachowski brothers sell outs. The biggest sell out moment they had was..wait, in matrix 2 w/ the beamer/caddilac promo. Everything else is spot on.
one thing I didnt catch
Smith replicated himself into the oracle, and the lil chinese guy, then how were they alive at the end? And what was the significance of the matrix 'dissapearing' and then the double take of the cat (when something goes wrong in the matrix)
Im glad they left the movie open ended. It gives me things to think about, and after all that fighting, teh overwhelming theme of the movie is equality and peace.
neo and smith balance
oracle and architect balace
who is 'mervs' opposite? Morpheus?(merv thinks cause and effect, while morpheus believes in higher powers?)???
And I wish they spent more time in the matrix. Fun stuff happens there.
I give it a 7.75 on 10

Over all, forgeting the one liners and the weak fight between Neo and Smith, i enjoyed the movie. i reached to the conclusion that peace and love is what keeps us alive after all these years. If we were to follow evolution's path, we would have ended up the same way many species ended up.
peace and love it is... i don't mind

One BIG utopia. now that the machines and the humans are working together again, we live happily ever after THEN WHY?????? IT's ALL gonna happen again. Humans are STUPID and arrogant... DAAAAH! |
is it because this movie didn't have the philosophical mystique that the first one did? If so, then I think that Revolutions was never meant to offer deep philosophical insights; it's the climax of the story, not the introduction. And I'm glad we didn't get any bogus, out of this world plot twists cuz thats what everyone was expecting; some big, deep mindboggling ending :-\ They could've done the last scene a little differently, but hell, I"m not gonna complain about it's cheeseyness cause Matrix 1 was full of cheese as well (actually, many many movies these days are cheesey in one way or another).
Quite simple: Only through defeating a common evil and through self-sacrifice could peace be attained between 2 warring factions who have fought long and hard for pretty much the erernity. I think there's much deeper religious plotline here involving most of the modern day conflicts which go back many centuries, especially if you look at where Zero-One is located in the Animatrix :P
did anybody else think that the robot thing looked like pinhead?
From Hellraiser? Hmm...now that you mention it...
If you look at Matrix 1 and Matrix 2 you see that it shows nothing supernatural. Everything is justified with a logical explanation, and "possiblity". Why is it different in 3?
If you look at Neo, he is able to see "energies" of objects and is able to stop tons and tons of metal with just his hand.
Did you wonder why? How is this possible.
You have to see what this movie is secretly showing. Where was the first time you saw such things? Matrix 1?
hmmm

Actually, in the intro of the second movie, when all the code is flying around and shit, you see an image of a fractal equation
Now all know that you can pretty much infinitely break down the fractal and keep zooming in more and more, which right there gave me the suggestion that their real world is within another world, and that upper world is within another, etc, recursively all the way up :P so to free themselves, they'd have to beat many many many worlds and free themselves :P
So once he fried those sentinels at the end of the second movie, it kinda proved my theory
Although they mentioned nothing of it in the third eheheh bastards!
i sooo wanted to see neo teleport and kick everyones ass and take over the matrix..but noooo he has to be weak

it kinda goes with the idea of the infinite matrices in the movie).

Hahah no no, I know they've found subatomic particles within the protons/neutrons, quarks and neutrinos or something like that, which makes me believe that they can go deeper :P
Now what I'm wondering is, if Neo was able to realize that even the real world was virtual, then he'd be unstoppable. Sure, he'd have to take an eternity to work his way up to the real world, but he'd eventually do it (albeit as an old fart
)
they have already made it clear there will be no matrix 4
I found this intersting site, thats trying to explain better whats going on in the movie!!Click here
Oh it was so so soooooooooooooo bad.. what a waste of time! Good thing I snuck in or I'd be regretting paying for it too. If I wanted to see a video game on screen, I'd do just that. And the cheese factor.. oh so high.. They completely ruined the entire story with this third one. If you liked the first and second, please DO NOT see this one.
On the other hand, since I already snuck inside, I went to check out Kill Bill vol.1.. simply: B R I L L I A N T. Tarantino is a god. Production was so superb, the fight scenes amazing, can't wait for the second.
ok i just saw matrix 3...and OMFG i have no idea what movies all u other people saw , but this kicked ass...WAY WAY better than the first one and second one.
wickid twist too at end..

I agree with brunette, the fight scenes were pretty cheesy, but the reason why I watched the movie in the first place was to find out more of the story. Like I said before (on this forum I think), the beauty is that not everything is revealed, and a lot of references are made to litterature/religion which give the movie a deeper meaning than just "that action flick with the bullet timing". But anyways, that's a philosopher's view on the movie
I'll have to watch it again to look for some small details to see if some of my theories about the storyline are correct, but it might have to wait until the DVD is out
