K, i am signed up. Looks like T is already the leader!
anyone want an easy win? I'm going to go to my buddies and pound back about 6 beers, then go home and be ready to hit the decks.
It's getting pretty late over in the UK though i guess. maybe tommorow.

im going to reset stats and its ready to go now-
obviously this favors people who challenge more and participate more. so lets get going!
I was talking to Markus Schultz and he said he would love to judge a live one sometime- If two people can set up a time- he'll be there.
i can't challenge u yet, it says about the 7 day minumum formal whatsitsbob.
so do u wanna do this challenge now, or are u reseting the stats first?

well, i've been challenged. twice. by flesch and kaos. so, now what? do we pick judges, or use the ones we have?
should we wait for all 20 people to sign up before having matches?
do i stream my set, FTP it what?
also, i appreciate the speed that this was set up, and casesladder is reputable, but to be honest, i don't like the site. It's poorly designed, has annoying ads, and is difficult to use. just my $0.02, maybe it will get better as we use it, everything has a learning curve i suppose.

janky eh? never heard that..
anyway, i am cool with whoever judges, the more the merrier, i'd rather have a few.
I'll slap something together ASAP, prolly tommorow morning, and just let me know when there is FTP info available.
Sign me up and tell me what I need to do.

Whatever you want to do- We just need to find a judge- you want one person- or a room or something?
What would be the best time for you?
Im in san diego- dont know time zone difference.
I just signed myself up at that myleage stuff. Do I need to do anything else so far?
I personally think the mixes should be between 30 and 45 minutes. Flesch's right that tracks will begin to repeat themselves to soon if the mixes go one hour.
Furthermore I think that a whole challenge (from sending the challenge to the final judgement) should be at most 2 weeks. Since nearly anyone else from here has got go to school, work, or both or something else, it can always be, that there's a week you have absolutely no time. So i think with 2 weeks we'd be better off.
What about the music style? is it only trance or can you kick in something else, like let's say do a house set? as far as i see the judges' skills nearly anything electronical should be possible.
for now, i have one last question: when i do a set and play it over the computer's speakers i tend to give the sound a hall effect, so the sound's often better (and it's got an even more "live" feeling). since i have only dsl i would anyhow record the mixes and load them up (but i have no webspace where to upload it.. i think we need one ;-), would it be "legal" to record the mix with that hall effect or no?

If the two want to just upload both mixes and ill setup a time with the judge to listen to them then he can decide the winner. It can be 2 weeks- I dont care- just makes things go a little slower- Style- Find a judge or judges that like both all the styles you two are going to play. I wish the judges would chime in- WHERE ARE THEY? |

Sure, 2 weeks would make things a lot slower, but i personally think it would be better. Hmm, the problem is that normally i decide very spontaneously what kind of set i do. usually it's trance, but sometimes i just want to do a house set or so. so perhaps we should always have the judges for a challenge placed so, that as much as possible music styles are in. and what about the hall effect? |

that sounds fine to me, if mr. sick will agree as well. not sure if you need to rechallenge me or not, go for it, it can't hurt.
I'd prefer to stream my set, because i can do it right now (or as soon as my girlfriend wakes up anyway which shouldn't be more than a few hours)
if i have to record it, then i'd have to record onto my MD, take it to work, record it analog into Sound Forge, then convert to wav, burn it to a CD, and bring it back home. (don't have SF or a decent line in at home, although it works ok for streaming)
so streaming is good for me, is it good for you Flesch? We could both set up streams to mr. sick, and let him judge.
who goes first? you can choose, i don't care where i go.
since this is trance addict, i think i will start with a trance set, and we will see how it goes after that.
