i am glad u guys all had such a wicked time!!!
i was thinking of u all weekend and wishing so much i could be there too - like fri the 13th in dec. ... but never mind the heat this time, u have no idea what it was like back in dec!!! if u wanted to go to the bathroom it would have taken you over an hour, every time someone wanted to move, people were spilling up into the coat check area .. now that was packed and that is what u can call HOT!!!

ARIA RULEZ!!!

Posted by alec on Jun-16-2003 22:46:

I think I've figured it out. Since everyone had to stand in line in the rain for about an hour, all of the rain they soaked up evaporated with the heat and made it not only insanely hot, but also disgustingly humid.

The ice machines probably didn't help either, because wouldn't they just add to the humidity?

Posted by Tinman on Jun-17-2003 01:09:

can anyone remember what track tiesto spun before Midway - Inca???

Posted by alec on Jun-17-2003 01:38:

you may be right Kate: I have to say that, if there was only 100 more people than PVD and it was 10 C higher with better ventilation, I didn't really beleive JF about the numbers, HOWEVER, what you're saying makes perfect sense. Plus the club is heated from the outside now rather than being winter!

Wow what a night! Got to Montreal a bit early and headed down to Crescent St. It was crazy busy. The road was closed for F1 weekend and there were lots of cars on display. Bars were packed despite the rain, which I stood in for quite some time. We headed over to ARIA around 12:30 so we could get in for the beginning of Tiestos set. Had a bit of a hard time finding parking (let me tell you this is a bigger challenge in Montreal than Ottawa) anyhow after the line we got in at about 1:30.

I proceeded directly behind the booth where I stayed most of the night. It was hot and busy but I thought it was bearable after what I went through in December where I spent half the night upstairs! Anyhow Tiesto was nuts he was really into it playing it up for Maleks video, which should be sweet! When the sound cut I was like SHIT this could be bad, but Tiesto took it in strides and kept everyone going!

Before I knew it Armin was up (where does the time go?) I decided to sit down for a few minutes near the cordoned off area behind the booth and who do I see? Tiesto sitting like two seats away from me. He stayed there for most of Armins set partying it up and talking to the ladies. What a guy! The place is rammed, hot and he just finished his set but he stays for the party! Solid.

So all in all a sweet night. I wish someone would have spun Noth Pole.. But what can you do? Didnt see allot of TAs probably because I didnt move much all night. I couldnt give up my prime spot! But for those I did speak with it was nice seeing you again. Ive never met a group of people more passionate about music than you!

Cheers.

Nope

I've been hearing lately from many people that Tiesto and Armin dislike each other these days.

So tell me Montrealers....how did they greet one another? Any hugs or handshakes or was Tiesto gone and Armin was suddenly there?
