the mark of your mix and i think 1 other are from 1 judge alone, the mark of your mix being from me seeing as u gave me the full thing

GOOD JOB BOYS! Spy-D GREAT job!

Cable congrats on #1 again. I'll get ya next year

Posted by t0ast! on Jan-11-2004 22:13:

meh...i hoped i'd finally get a bit higher in the rankings, but it just proves that no matter what style i choose, i either (a) don't have the $$ to get up-to-the-minute vinyl, or (b) don;t have the style of the moment.

the ftp will be reset for the next compo.

congrats to cable + all others!

u don't have to have up to the minute vinyls to win competitions like this

I'm a very strong believer in "a good track is a good track and there's a time and place for everything." As a DJ, you're simply creating a style to set the mood for a specific occasion. If this means you're recording a set for a radio broadcast or a playing a live event in front of 500 people, you'll perform differently and generally play different tracks. Some tracks may be dated, but a great track is timeless.

then i s'pose i need to spend more time listening to the choons
thanks for the viewpoint dizc!

Agree

I have to agree. Even if a tune is "old" in trance time, I still dont mind mixing it in if it fits nicely w/ the other tunes. Also, I'm limited by the records I do have so why not make the best of them. Not all of us can get the latest promos/tracks. Its about how well the tunes are mixed together and not about the latest tracks IMHO.
