i think paul van dyk is good; i dont think hes god... but i have to admit his djing is godly; i just want him to play other genres; progressive pleez! .... but then again he wouldnt be pvd... so i'm totally contradicting myself ... i have to admit he is a very very very good dj, i dont like him that much though, dont know why; i dont really like the track selection; it sounds a bit too mainstream for me... i like to go with sasha on the playlisting ^_^

It's like he has a bag of records...and spins one

It's tedious to listen ... after 10 minutes,
it's hard not to press the "STOP" button and stop
this irritating artist.

You obviously don't like PvD, your loss.

A little tip to you. When u see a thread about.. for exampel "Paul van Dyk Is My New God" (like this one) Stay the hell out of it, you are a minority, saying that PvD has bad taste and no thougt to his plays, is quite stupied. The majority of the Trance-listening ppl do enjoy and in many cases do love his work. It's easier to play with great variation if you don't perform so damn often.. PvD do know what he's doing, he's not come this fare by accident.

Just think it's a little lack of fantasy and bad manners bouncing in and saying he's a bad artist just because you happens not to like him..

You dig it "little buddy" ??

i dont know about this argument. yes, its a music discusison forum. but obviously, the person that started this post and called pvd their god in the subject was not intending to ask people if they thought their opinion was valid! i think it was more a statement about their own (new?) taste, probably to share with other people that appreciate the same artist.

yes u have your own opinions. but i have to say this garbage you have said about pvd makes you the one who is clueless. whether or not you like his music or his style or any of this shit is a different story. you dont have to like him. but your claim that he does not know what he is doing, that he spins records randomly etc etc definitely is the biggest pile of horseshit i have heard in my life. u dont have to appreciate him if u dont want to, but to outright say shit like that which is not remotely true is quite pathetic. i think those people that don't like him even know better than to say shit like because it just has no validity. we have tons of recorded sets out there to prove you wrong in your accusations. your disliking can stay. your accusations can go back to your ASS where they came from.

I went to see PvD in Central Park without taking any shit. I was experiencing "pure pvd" - the experience was even better than wasted.. Little bit agressive, but I guess since you respect all styles of EM its cool. I love all EM styles. and Disco was so sweeeeeet ...... Digweed is a bit slow, but very intelligent dance music indeed involved.

Paul Van Dyk, on the other hand, is my God, too LOL!
