Heh....I remember being out alone on a dock in the middle of the night on a caribbean island on a vacation and looking out onto the ocean while listening to cabala - dark blue on the first summerbreeze...beautiful song and moment...

Drax and Scott Mac - Sublime (Darkstar Remix)

Reminds me of driving into Manhattan not too long after 9/11.

If anyone could have experienced hearing that, and seeing all that smoke in the air, would agree.

Great track otherwise, but I'll never forget that image.

Yes. Her music makes me lose faith in the human race. : (

seeing as I started this topic it's just fair to warn all of you that I am running out of Prozac

But seriously...I totally agree how some of the most uplifting songs in theory can actually be quite depressing to the listener.

But the whole Armin van Buuren's 76 album is a big depress-fest for me at the moment. So good, but so painful...weird huh?

werd man, I picked that up in a used record store the other day and I loooooove it. Really nice.

Yeah agree with Avril Lavigne, that's probably the only "pop" music i listen to. I used to get depressed of Lasgo tunes too, but Lasgo is also a little pop'ish to me.

DJ Tiesto feat. Jan Johnston - Close To You (Magik Muzik Mix)
Way Out West - The fall
M-Diva - Reaching Out
Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun (DJ Tiesto's "Unreleased/ISOS 3" Remix)

Remember the breakdown in Yahel-Open your mind (Magikal remake) on Magik 5? If you do, you know what I mean. If you don't...go get the cleenex!

Ok. Do you have one track that when you listen just gets you so down? Whether it be because of painful memories associated with that track, or powerful vocals in it.

For me it's:

The Space Brothers - One More Chance (Riley and Durant Remix)

And this is because the lyrics just resonate with me and things I would've like to say to my ex-girlfriend.

Allright all...I'll bust out the Prozac

ahhh sorry for you...and it is a bit the same for me, with the track 'Elevation' by Darren Tate cause i fall in love the day i listened to this track, but the girl has a boyfriend , and now i can't listen to this track anymore, too painful...

Posted by shawn2331 on Nov-06-2003 19:51:

Gouryella - Ligaya
It doesn't so much get me depressed but it makes me think of and miss yesterday but that part of life.

Agnelli and Nelson - Holding onto Nothing

although everything about the song screams "HAPPY", the words do mean a lot to me right now. I do feel that something major is happening to my life, and i am deceiving myself if i think something good is going to come out of it, thus i am holding onto nothing

any radiohead song depresses me. i love it.

Posted by DarkAngel on Nov-08-2003 17:08:

This will sound mondo bizarro, but the tune that depresses me for an unknown reason is Andain: beautiful Things (Gabriel & Dresden mix) It's a great song, yes, but for some damn reason I honestly do NOT know, it makes me feel sad...I don't know why...?
