needing a quick answer

what should i do? submit the 81 minutes mix, submit an edited mix to fit 80 minutes (cut the first two minutes or something and faded in), or do i really have to submit another mix/give up?

I can only speak for myself but I think you will find that the other Judges will agree, submit your mix! 81mins will be OK. [Judges if you disagree please let us know ASAP] Its really hard when you are on a roll to know what to cut! Count yourself lucky you aren't trying to fit it on a CD

WIth overburn you can fit up to 82 mins, though it's not highly recommended.

I think 81 mins is just fine. My latest beta mix is 80:09. (Yes, I have to keep practicing cuz I suck!.. lol)

AND THIS TIME I REMEMBERED TO MUTE THE LINE-IN FEED ON PLAYBACK!!! roflmao. One time I did a wicked mix, and then when I listened back to it, it sounded like utter crap for that reason.. lol.

just a reminder.... When you create your cue sheets please make sure you let us Judges know what software and version you used to create your mix.

once you guys judge it and all by jan 1st or whenever, will contestants be able to dl other ppl's mixes (pending approval I guess from contestants?) so we can listen, for enjoyment and stuff?

By the way, rather than filling up cue sheets with track info (in my case I plan to attach a text file), can I just put the software info in the text file with the track names?

Comp Entries

Well entries have been arriving but we're not exactly what you would call inundated. I'm not sure if the other judges agree but I'm wondering if we should extend the deadline till Noon this coming Saturday. If we do this and you were entered as a competitor but you won't be competing please let us know so we don't hang out waiting for something that ain't forthcoming. Please also let us know if you will be sending in your entry and approximately when.

I've got two mixes done, both suck ass though. I've been having a lot of hardware problems lately.. even had to cancel my show on the weekend that I do..

Windows... DIE... Creative... DIE

Everything is echoing, meaning one of the environment audio settings is turned on.. so i try to access the audioHQ to turn it off (no friggin clue why it's on).. and windows say "you do not have any audio drivers installed.".....

suffice to say windows makes me all warm and fuzzy inside sometimes..

I would concur with a deadline extension, some people might reconsider and throw down a mix with an extra week and plus there's that fellow who has issues like me too..
