Is this where the 'Thread of the Month' posters come?
ack...

No, he got he wrong Jeff... I was talking about TECHno Addict, who he's obviously never met, because he never comes to (and stays at) any events.

P.S. Xpander is trance. "Progressive" is either trance or house, and Xpander definitely isn't house music. If you want to call it progressive trance, OK.

If we're gonna start another prog vs trance war, let's add a third and increasingly popular genre.

prog vs trance vs techno

Who's with me?

ur lordship DO SOMETHING !!

Upon further inspection, I have decided that the following genres are being mis-represented at this party:

- Atmospheric D'n'B
- Hard Acid Techno
- Speedcore
- Booty House
- Heavy Metal Goa
- Progressive Breaks
- Nu Skool Breaks
- Trip Hop
- Speed Garage
- Ragga Jungle
- Gangsta Rap
- Nu NRG
- Deep Latin House

I firmly insist that at least one of each DJ be booked for this event, otherwise I will whine and bitch for another 10 pages of this thread. And you DON'T want that, oh no, you better meet the demands of the Trip Hop Whores...

thank u ur lordship...we didnt know that

Progressive and Trance have amalgamated pretty close in the past few years. I mean Mixmag doesn't even review progressive and trance separately anymore.

Someone's been visiting the Electronic Guide to Music...

Speedcore...has anyone honestly ever heard that played ANYWHERE??

Posted by Endlesswave on Oct-02-2003 21:33:

LOL @ speedcore.

Posted by DigiNut on Oct-02-2003 21:39:

Are you dissing my music? Are you dissing speedcore? You guys have NO fucking right to put me down on that. I've been here longer than you. I'm just trying to say that the scene doesn't have enough speedcore, and if there's ever speedcore, it's like some stupid warm-up set. Why can't we get a speedcore main act, huh? Book speedcore in the other room!

Fuck it, you guys just aren't cool enough to understand.

Disclaimer: I DO NOT listen to speedcore. The preceding post was a sarcastic joke. Perhaps it may look familiar, though...

Posted by The Highroller on Oct-02-2003 21:57:

I've heard it played on a webradio station before. Along with noizecore

Posted by Endlesswave on Oct-02-2003 22:58:

That's not surprising Graham. It's on the web...

Posted by Skipper on Oct-03-2003 00:47:

Whoa, this thing is still going.

Posted by DigiNut on Oct-03-2003 01:25:

This is my final rant on this topic - armada, you have ceased to come up with any more interesting or creative insults, and I'm getting rather bored.

I must ask, though, why does only attending some of the events make me less worthy of a gig? You had your chance to play just like I had mine. How is that so unjust?

If you would like to say that because you attended one or two more events than I did, and that makes you more worthy of a spot at this particular event, then go ahead...but "committment" speaks nothing about attitude and, whoa, even DJ skill - both of which are factors in getting gigs too.

But..please explain to me what you are trying to gain by this thread. Some of us are just trying to stand up for ourselves. You are so blatantly trying to drag other people down with you. It's become rather unfortunate. Think anyone wants to book you, after the bullshit you've initiated in this thread? the name calling, the swearing, the ridiculous accusations? How does all of that help PROGRESSIVE MUSIC?

In conclusion to this post, in which I've had to again make you look like a very desperate individual, I'll just say this: you can accuse me of being on TA just to get gigs, you can accuse me of being a horrible person because I didn't show as much "support" as you to this community, which you are so superior in, you can imply I have no DJ skill, even. I know, as do many others, that all of that is untrue. If it makes you feel better to say it though, go ahead. I'm not too concerned, because it is apparent that every time you post, your credibility has gone the same way as your respect for the rest of the folks on this board - completely out the window.

Ok... will everybody be happy if Sarah spins some Progressive Gabber? Cuz I think she can do it... you'd be up for that, right?

Posted by mute79 on Oct-03-2003 02:27:

Sarah, you're taking this too personally... You fail to realize that trancearmada has been our local designated flamer for a long time, actually pretty much since the beginning...

Who can forget the Swamper vs. Trancearamada endless war over a such a stupid issue like his sig from last year...

ahh the memories, that was soooo entertaining to follow, it lasted for well over a couple of weeks I think...

anyways, since you prolly missed it, here it is, check it out, it'll help you to understand a couple of things about trancearmada and his tendencies

Swamper vs. Trancearmada flame war

Ah yes....it all makes sense now.

Aaron, I refuse to play any progressive now, it is obvious that armada doesn't really wish to hear it...if he did, he would have been a lot nicer to me!

PS. Ignore lists are the rave-cool place to be these days. ignore ignore ignore!

Posted by mute79 on Oct-03-2003 02:40:

pfft, ignore lists... wheres the fun in that?

Ah I see, so you were planning on spinning a mega prog set before that, eh.
