I sure enjoyed it, even if it was dropped twice.

Maybe it's Paul's favorite track?

the track he played before running up the hill was PvD - Connected (Markus Schulz Remix) but thats not a really hard acid track so i have no clue.

On a side note, my gripe with Glow is over. I've forgiven them for their screw-up

One of their staff members was kind enough to email me a rather sincere apology.

SO Glow emailed you back or Groovetickets? What did they say? Are they going to give your free tickets or something for compensation?

Its great to hear you can fight the man and WIN!

hahaah

Hell's yeeaaaaaayaaaaahhh! I never sent my letter to Groove Tickets. I was contacted by a very friendly Mr. Kalamoutsos from Glow. He very cordially apologized and kindly offered to make up for my mis-treatment at PvD.

Thats awesome.. yeah Glow is actually pretty good about that kind of stuff. On the Glow forum they're very accomodating and they're always saying "just ask for Jimmy or Antonis" so i guess they really focus on us (the clubgoers') concerns.

October 11 was the highlight of a great weekend! After spending an afternoon with my sister and her fiance at a local Oktoberfest party, I was ready for the night! I made it to Cafe Asia before 7 pm, enjoying the fact I wasn't in a frantic rush. After a few minutes hanging out by the entrance and looking for any familiar faces, I saw a guy with short hair and glasses, wearing a PvD Reflections T-shirt. To my surprise, it was Jdat...I expected to see a guy with dreads! Peter and Kimmi showed up at 7:30 pm, and more people streamed in. As always, dinner at Cafe Asia was amazing! After beef panang curry and two Singha beers, it was time for PvD!

Getting to Glow was more challenging than I ever imagined. I was shocked to find such slow-moving traffic in D.C. on a Saturday night...it was worse than usual! I made it to Glow at 10:45, expecting really long lines. The line for PvD ticket holders was handled very efficiently.

I was so pumped up and ready for PvD's set! As it turned out, PvD's set started almost an hour later. In the meantime, I caught up with some peeps from the Glow board after midnight and had one Jaeger. I wasn't in the mood to get wasted...I wanted to last as long as possible. Dan Sampson and Edgar V got the night off to a great start! Unlike the first time I saw Edgar V, I really got into his set! I stayed around close to the DJ booth, so I could see more of PvD this time.

It wasn't till almost 2 when PvD took the decks. Once PvD took over, I felt a surge that made me oblivious to the crowd and the heat! I was screaming my lungs out and jumping like crazy! PvD dropped many of my favorite tracks as of late (Digital Pressure - Aftershock, Nu-NRG - Connective, PvD feat. Second Sun - Crush, Agnelli & Nelson - Holding On To Nothing, Modulation - Spirits) in the beginning...I couldn't have been happier! I kept grinning and saying to myself "I can die now!" Unfortunately, the rush faded when the heat and the crowd became too much for me. No matter how much water I drank, I still felt drained. There were a few more tracks that made me dance (Three Drives - Carrera 2 (Nu Nrg Mix), Katana - Tribal Shock, Tiesto - Traffic)...or at least try to dance. Sometime before 4:30, my body said "No ms!" and I had to leave. I felt much better once I started driving home. Damn...I wish I could've stayed till the end!

All in all...PvD's set was tight! As for Insomnia, it was a bit too much for me! Let's hope that PvD's next gig in DC is at a bigger venue!

Shoutouts to:
Busy Child - great meeting you...thanks again for setting up dinner at Cafe Asia!

Didn't you get one of those necklace style passes that they were selling? I thought that's what got you behind the ropes, etc.

Once I actually got in it, I only had to wait in line for like 5 minutes which isn't bad at all... and that was after they refused to get me my pass. I like how I asked the bald guy about a stamp but he said in no specific terms, "NO STAMPS TONIGHT" Yet people on the Glow forum said that they had no problems with VIP because they had gotten stamps. It makes you wonder what is really going on there.

Oh well, shit happens. I'm just glad that my pass is now guaranteed to work for the rest of the month.
