No way in hell.. Its the best music in the world
Well I mean the whole catagory of Electronic music.. Techno,Trance..etc.
^^^ i just talking specifically about techno subgenre
if i were, i would say something along the lines of:
techno is the DEVIL
and i love it.
techno is the devil and pure evil and i love it
i am christian and so is my family, even my grandpa likes techno. i love it, my little brother loves it, my mom listens to it every so often. so i say thats just a lie.

techno would sound good in hell though you have to admit. evil.
Oi, this thread is rather pointless. Dont you people have anything better to post about?

OK
The *heavier* Christians don't listen to electronica because they were brought up in the more traditional Christian family where they really didn't explore electronica because it just dosn't fit
as far as the issue of electronica sounding evil well no i don't think that many people consider it evil although i once did hear a minister saying that techno and metal corrupted young minds

i love the music, its not evil.
How can music without vocals be evil?
Im Christian, I love techno and all genres of Electronica.
Oh,That is so not true. I'm a Christian and I listen to Trance, happy hardcore, rave, hardcore, techno, and pretty much anything within the dance genre. I also compose happy hardcore, rave and hoping to get into hardcore.. a lot of Christians listen to these genre's.

It's nearly ineffable for someone to think that a large subset of people (in this case, christians) would be *completely* homogeneous in any one aspect... That is all I have to say.
there is one born every day...
Hey CKY
I understand what you mean about TECHNO (the subgenre, not the generalized one) being so hard-sounding that it might discourage some Christians from listening to it because many Christians have a more conservative demeanour. But I'll tell you -- I just became Christian (Christian Reform to be exact) over a year ago. I'm Italian so I grew up in the Catholic church, but like many Catholics I went to church by force and did so 'cause i had to' not 'cause I wanted to'.
Anyway, I digress -- I listen to all this stuff... Trance, House, Breaks, Tribal and some Techno (Techno is a little newer for me but it's really pumpin. Great to dance to!) And I can only speak for myself but maybe the fact that I wasn't brought up in a fully 'Christian' (i use this instance of the word a little loosely) environment might have contributed to the fact that I CAN listen to this stuff easier than some other people can.
But I think that true Christians (Not the fanatics out there who try to jump down yer throat on every thing and judge you -- Christians are not SUPPOSED to judge anyone; that's HIS job) will be able to see that MUSIC is MUSIC. If it invokes some emotions, it's because those emotions are already inside us from past experiences. BUT music with vocals and putting conscious suggestions into people's heads is what turns a pure beauty (music) into something more 'evil' (i guess is the term)
That's what I think. Like I said I understand your point of view -- but I think that it's a little TOO general and to fully understand something people need to do a little more research (myself included)
(BTW: I've been thinking about this subject ever since I've become a Christian and it's good to know there's other Christians out there who listen to this stuff)
