i usually go by phant0omx most of the time. i made it up back in high school when i first started going online. i wanted something dark and mysterious. this was about the time phantom of the opera was all badass during the tour here in the states; i had the cd on the bed and thats where my name came from.

You're obviously not arab...First of all, Layla means night, not "born at night", and the language is arabic, not egyptian

My user name...back in '96, I used to work at TWA (The airline.) I was part of the cleaning crew. We each used to have our own mops. They kept getting misplaced so we labeled them. I came up with the name "BlackAngel" on a whim. Well, that and black is my fav. color. My friends told me, "Dude, you're not black." They suggested "DarkAngel" and the name has stuck ever since. People still mistake me for a girl every now and again.

anyways mine goes back about 7 years, when i started playing role playing games. We were playing Star Wars RPG so i picked up a SW novel and opened it on a random page and chose the first name i saw, which was Streen. From then on i use it wherever i can; its just my artistic alter ego. About 4 yrs ago a radio DJ i liked suggested that it should be spelled "stren" cause that's what i wanted it to be pronounced, so i dropped one "e".
Later on i've also met with a character in one of the Discworld novels called Stren, and learned that there is a company named stren making fishing stuff
