Sato crashed into somebody during free practice

I'm looking forwrad to this weekend, I've got a feeling the BAR's are going to be lightning.

blimey is Ralf ok? that was one hell of a smash

Posted by jp on Jun-20-2004 17:30:

He might have broken something, he smashed into the wall backwards. It seems like he's not unconcious anymore, so that's good.

Trulli went from end of the grid to 8th place atm

EDIT: he's trying to get out of the car by himself, a check-up at the doctor will be next

Posted by jon on Jun-20-2004 17:33:

well hes in a ambulance and it prob looks like hes just a bit dazed

Posted by jp on Jun-20-2004 17:49:

Button out due to technical problems

What do you think about Montoya? In German TV they say he will be disqualified for changing the cars at the pre-start.

Posted by noikeee on Jun-20-2004 17:58:

nah its allowed, since the actual race didnt start

and from the looks of it ralf is ok and nowt majour wrong

Posted by jp on Jun-20-2004 18:16:

The race has been pretty interesting so far. That long straight (oval) is just amazing

Posted by jon on Jun-20-2004 18:25:

I was wrong, montoya has just been black flagged.

Posted by jp on Jun-20-2004 18:26:

What a bunch of morons. How could they let him drive almost a full race before disqualifying him

Yes, after 60 Rounds

The Stewards allowed him to drive for his fans I think.

Posted by jon on Jun-20-2004 18:33:

british tv said the car was "not authorised" by the fia or something along those lines.

why it took so long to deciede is just silly, and im sure none of the other teams had a problem with him doing it as it was not like he had a unfair advantage, and if he cant use the spare car whats the point of having one :S

[EDIT]

twat regulation 85, 15 seconds after the signal to clear the track so the cars can pull off, turns out montoya was like 1.5 seconds past the 15 second deadline

1 Point for Baumgartner / Minardi

I dont understand it either.I just cant believe how stupid things can be sometimes. What a disaster. They need to make these desicions quickly, imagine if Montoya gets into a crash during this time he was racing for nothing.

I do not know why but I am happy for Minardi glad to see them do well although I couldnt identify their car just thought it was a moving yellow pages.

Posted by Spad on Jun-22-2004 13:33:

Bad decision by BAR not to pit while the safety car was out....they had a good chance here, feel like they threw it away a bit. Well obviously Button wouldn't have had any better a result but they could have really put some pressure on the Ferrari's.

how iz Ralph Schumacher now?

Posted by TOR on Jun-23-2004 11:42:

he's recovering.. he suffered concussion and a bruised back. it is likely he won't be able to race in Magny-Cours.

Posted by jon on Jun-27-2004 20:56:

read in a newspaper that he will be out for french + UK grand prix

Posted by TOR on Jun-30-2004 13:42:

it seems as though he will be out for the rest of the season.. his back is more injured than previously thought, he broke two vertebrae.. he'll need about three months to fully recover. Marc Gene will take over his place for the remainder of the season.

Hope ralf gets better soon i want to see him atleast finish the season. In the meantime Gene should pick up some valuable points for him.

Posted by Trance Nutter on Jul-02-2004 14:42:

There's talk that Mark Webber will be rushed into the Williams to finish off the season.

Dunno how much of that is just Australian media speculation, it would be good though!

Posted by fcuk on Jul-03-2004 07:46:

I know Williams are keen for webber to drive in '05 but i didn't know how much they care for him. I doubt it, i guess it's all the media. But if he does, good luck to him for getting a spot in a top team. Go Webber!
