i would save my pet even though i have a cat, and despite there hate for being in water, they are good swimmers. i would choose pet cause not only do i love animals (not in a sick way) but how do you know if this stranger is just using the drowning thing to lure you to help him/her and grab you, throw you your trunk, steal your car and take you to an abandoned warehouse where he makes you his bitch. Or you could be helping a serial killer.
