Low scoring, shitloads of fouls and freethrows YAY! 48 minutes of playing time turns into over 3 hours with all timeouts and freethrows and dicking around they do... Now everyone is going to look at Detriot's success and realise that a team full of scorers (Mavs, Kings etc) has no hope of winning a championship and we are going to see alot of boring my zone defence is better than your zone defence games in the future. |

i don't think you can say 'o this or that team' coulda beat the pistons because fuck they won the championship and proved they are the best.
while the lakers did get lucky in some instances in the earlier rounds, they got to the finals for a reason. they played good enough to get to the finals, but their best to get to the finals wasn't good enough for them to win the finals. also, i must say thats gotta be the worst they have ever played.
so yea the pistons deserve it because they clearly showed their skills to beat the lakers.
and yes i am a lakers fan, but damn ben wallace is fucken badass when shaq got rejected i expected shaq to throw one down in his face or something, but nothing happened.
either way they didn't play well enough. i think they would have been better running more offence through shaq, but then shaq couldn't make free throws if he got fouled. then the so called 'role players' (i hate that fucken term) couldn't make just shit either.
so thats that.
and i repeat i am i lakers fan, but i was saying fuck these bitches they suck by the third qtr.
i gotta admit the Lakers derserved making it to the Finals but they got totally outplayed by the pistons. i hate the lakers, but even then i felt sorry for them when they were down 26 points. Ben wallace played a bad ass 5th game. Can't believe him or hamilton didn't win the MVP.
p.s. the Lakers got pwned!!!!

. They smoked them in game 7, so I don't think they "almost" beat them. | quote: |
| if the pacers werent injured they would have beaten the pistons too...u make it sound that no team took more than one game from the pistons lol |

| im appalled The Mavs absolutely dominated Detroit in the regular season, because they dont have any inside game that Detriot is so good defending. They just shot over them. You're now a dumb east coast sucking fucktard. |

What injury did the Pacers sustain that had a significant impact on whether if they advance or go home? Did O'Neal or Artest get seriously injured? Thought so. They were a healthy team, and their only player that was injured, who would have some sort of contribution, is Jamaal Tinsley. But you seriously think the Pacers would of beat the Pistons if Tinsley wasn't injured? If O'Neal or Artest were injured, THEN you can make an excuse. Plus, this is a stupid assumption anyways. The fact is that the Pistons beat the Pacers, and they weren't close to beating them - they beat them. According to this post, you have no knowledge of basketball. The regular season does not reflect the outcome in the playoffs because the playoffs is TOTALLY ON ANOTHER LEVEL OF PLAY, and teams have to drastically step up their game. The Timberwolves were 3-1 versus the Lakers in the regular season I believe, and who won that series in the playoffs? The Mavericks undoubtedly have one of the best offensive games in the league, but their defense is HORRIBLE. It was the reason why they lost so many games than they were expected. Shooting is a lower percentage shot than driving in, and shooting only won't get you anywhere in the playoffs. You have to rely on post skills in the playoffs, and that applies to the regular season too. The Piston's defense would crush the Mavericks, and their dynamic offense would seal the deal. Why does everyone say "defense wins championships?" If the Lakers played good defense versus the Pistons, the outcome would of obviously been different. |
