contary to some earlier posts, NO british aircraft were hijacked.
As soon as the event occured all UK flights were cancelled and all that were airborne were diverted from US Airspace.
The fiancial and business areas of London, England have also been evacuated as precautions, The UK Government see the UK as the next possible target !
and SICK ! i just saw on TV pictures of Palistinians dancing and celebrating cos of this attack, They are celebrating the death of a possible 25,000 INNOCENT people, man thats disgusting !
The repurcussions of todays events will be felt for years, lets hope we can turn this into world Peace and not world war.
And my thoughts also turn to Twilogodess, a resident of NYC. I hope she's ok

There is only so much info you can rely on the news for...one thing you wont here about is about the other planes that have been hijacked. Hijacked and forced to be shot down by out fighter jets. They are not going to get any info about us shooting down our own jets with our own civilians in them. They believe we have to sacrafice a plane full of people...to save several buildings full of people. That you will not hear about on any news.

This is so horrible.
I was learning about loading a film camera in film class today when this happened. I left that class, not knowing yet, and checked my email. A friend of mine sent me 2 pictures of the buildings with holes in them. At first glance, I thought it was a fake picture. I had seen one similar a few years ago to promote either Deep Impact or Armageddon. I then I went off to my next class, not thinking much about it.
Before I got to my next class, everyone was in a hallway, watching tv. I then realized that it was real. The feeling that came over me was like nothing I have ever felt before. I sat there in the hallway, looking at others crying and trying to take all of this in.
I couldnt....I actually went to my philosophy class out of habit...and the teacher must not have known what was going on. He sat there and started to teach. I was still in shock...my whole body being swarmed with waves of tension, shock and disbelief. I could not sit there in class for more than 2 minutes. I went back out to the hallway, sat on the ground and cried.
I then went to the Student Union, where the had counsellers and phones set up to call NYC. There are so many kids that are from nyc that go to my School (University at Buffalo) I could see some of them crying out in horror. One kid came into a room, walked up to an advisor and said; "Umm, I need to make a phone call" He could barely talk he was shaking so much.
Nobody will ever be able to put any of this into words. My attempt here is just to outlet some of the feelings that are going on inside of me, and hopefully be able to deal with this in some way.
I prey for all those affected, and for all of us left, that are going to have to live threw the aftermath, and garunteed retaliation that is going to commence.

wake up this morning, turn on the T.V. and find out we're under attack (literally!) WTF? well, maybe Bush won't "chicken" out and take action against this....this is just bullshit. *prayers out to those in NY and D.C.....and no more WTC! our country will never be the same *sigh* 
yeah its totally fucked, i feel bad for any1 who mite've lost friends and family in either NY or any of the planes or even in the pentagon...

dis was gonna happen, coz they were planning it 4 sometime now...no1 likes Bushe's policy and he's a bad politic..i saw it on da newz as well and i cudn't believe i was da jews and palestinian's who planned dis attack
u do know that it is possible that these terrorist dudes no matter how fucking angry they make me may actually have a couple of brain cells. although really no-one with a brain would want to kill another man, or in this case god knows how many people. anyway if these assholes are clever enough to set up this mass terrorism attack maybe they are cleverer than we think and intend to worry us furthur. and that they have read some of nostradamus (did i spell that right?) and thought hmm... right lets scare the shit out of them further through his theories and bombed the w.t.c. because of it, but im just speculating. i dunno how these sicko's think, and i really dont wanna know. and just too add incase u didn't know that these countries like palestine train kids from 5 year old to respect their country and that it is their duty to die 4 it, mainly through these asshole suicide missions and believe they go straight to heaven 4 it. how fuckin sick. sorry like but i just hate these dudes and how they make us all shit our pants 4 not just ourselves and relatives but for our fellow man. we will never let this rest until this stops. and i hope that ever1 who is worried about friends and family is okay and so are those who they care about. and last but by no very means least, condolences to all those who have lost others in this horrorful attack.

If you took a palestinian (or whoever committed these acts, it works with either example), and you put them in a room with an American, i would almost guarantee 95% that they would get along no problem....
Most of our hatred for these people, and their hatred for us is drummed up through propaganda, fed to us by our TV And governments. I can't say that i hate these people, b/c most of them are just misinformed... i pity the fact that they acted out on their feelings, b/c this is not the way to solve problems....
Everyone's asking what does all this accomplish? It just goes to show that the USA is not as strong as everyone thought.... When it comes to war, i will agree that i would not want to have to fight the USA... but in peace-time, we are sitting high thinking we are untouchable - this just goes to show that we are NOT invinsible.
And to those on this thread who have said that the USA just "goes around bombing people so now its even"..... what the fuck is your problem? This is totally different circumstances, and it takes a LOT for the US to bomb someone. I don't see an evening out at all here, what an ignorant statement.
Yasser Arafat has already done a press-conference offering his condolences and support .... so this would have to be a private group, and not a country... therefore i doubt a world-war... no countries are the opposition here... just a group... a religious group.

scratch that, apparently based on News reports Afghanastan is harboring bin Laden and not "handing him over" to authorities for trial on the bombings he did back in 1998.... in my opinion any country harboring a terrorist and not "handing him over" is a country asking for trouble.... Is Afghanastan our enemy then? Maybe they have the same feelings towards the USA but only don't have the "balls" to say it, like bin Laden does...

that took a lot of thinking dont you thing or is assumption hmmmm oh and what about the bombing on iraqhow many innocent civillians did they kill?this even after 10 years after the gulf war .the first days in office george w. bush bombed iraq for no reason innocent civillians died.

if you didnt already know...just prior to the collapse of the second tower, 200 firefighters went into the building to help the people trapped above the fires on the 55-57th floors. they put their lives out to try to help others and none of them had a chance to get out of the building. that is the oppitomy of heroism right there, pray for them.
yo man now lets thing again? we cant blame anything against JEWS, Muslims, SIkhs or any other kinds of religon for doing this. We can only blame people for doing this horrible act. ITs not fair blaming religons or anything. Fighting with religon causes wars. Bush is an idoit and hes gonna be the one that is gonna cause another world war. and this time its not gonna be like easy.
