Normally, I would have just resolved this outside of the board. However, they chose o bring the board into it, so now I am obligated to fight for the truth.

I dont mind people who are not the victims, posting, its just that you guys cant really editorialize because you arent involved. Posts that encourage resolve and give advice to either myself or the victims is fine. But judgmeents of innocence or guilt are for the judicial systtem to make .

I know Im innocent, and I am doing everything possible to prove it

I've been on many other different types of forums where people are getting screwed by other members exactly like this and you act just like the scammers do there. Until this so called stacey-L whore is found or discovered to be a real live person who is guilty, I'll make my comments on this matter. By the way Our legal system takes fraud cases very seriously my friend...if you report it, it will be dealt with. Why would Stacey use her real name to commit fraud? Wouldn't you use someone elses?
As someone else said in an earlier post, why would Stacey sell stuff on sites she knew you visited? Whilst using her own name???

And did Stacey know alot about music/mixers? Having read all the posts and links including the ebay description, Stacey sure knows alot about mixers, even putting stuff in like "only used in a studio environment". I know my girlfriend doesn't know shit about this sort of thing...

Like I said earlier it's best if everyone contacts the police, one person with one small claim may not interest the police much, but 6 people with claims against the same person, I think the police would definitely be interested...

She might as well have said her name was Bob.

Also, are you implying that because shes a girl, she wouldnt know about studio equipment? She has her own decks! She has own records! She knows so much about the music....why do you think I was so drawn to her? I know im not the only one who has fantasies of meeting this incredibly beautiful girl who is smart and enjoyed electronic music. That was Stacey to me. However, she turned otu to be a liar. Thats why I ended our engagement.

As for language, structure, I dont really know how to answer that. All I can say is that everyone doesnt have their OWN distinct language structure. I know that in my circle of friends, we have a similar vocabulary and grammatical structure. Maybe thats why we are friends? Because we are similar people.

To the other guy talking about ted bundy, he was a psychopath, that totally throws human nature out the window and they are less than .02% of the total population, so I assume they don't count. Who says Stacey was not put up to this by someone else, who says her current man was not the guy telling her about turntables. As I said earlier, if Spective solves the issue and pays you back, do you really care, sure you are angry that you were taken advantage of but you did not lose one cent in the grand scheme of things because you got your money back. Spective is the one that has the problem, his ebay account, which last I knew had like 200 sales with a 97% happiness rating, he is paying the money out of his own pocket, even thought he did not do anything. I mean kudos to him for at least being honest enough to do something about it, saying it was'nt me, yes people will say he was the one but why go to all this trouble, if I did a scam, I sure as hell would not refund money or even post, I'd go hide.

I was saying if i was going to do a scam, i would use a totally different name, not use my real first name no matter how common it is. And i definitely wouldn't try and sell someone elses stuff on a website i knew they visited with my real name!
And of course i'm not saying that because she's a girl she wouldn't know about studio equipment. My girlfriend has decks too, but if i asked her to rattle off the specs of her mixer she wouldn't have a clue...

I really hope this whole messed up episode gets sorted out really soon because from the point of view from someone that buys and sells items on these boards i think many people will think twice about using tranceaddict in the future as im sure most people will have looked at this thread at some stage.

Personally i think spective is telling the truth and is trying to right the wrong because i dont think someone who had just taken over $3000 dollars from people on here would come back and start threads about them taking the money if they did. Thats just stupid but i do feel he should pick up the phone when it rings and talk to those involved because they are the only ones ringing. This should not be sorted out on these boards alone.

Honesty is hard to come by these days and that is what this forum is based upon and i feel 99% of people on here are so i hope this doesnt ruin things for the rest of us in future.

Nicely said Spang. At this point, talking to each other on the phone is pointless. I know what they want. They want their money. Even though I am not the criminal in this mess, I want to get them their money. Problem is, I dont have that kind of money lying around.

DJ Scorpion turned out to be the $250 mystery transaction I was hoping would show himself. So 3/5 who have been positively identified will be paid within the next week. 2 of those people should receive their payment by Thursday at latest.

Tegu cant really expect me to pay him because he used PayPal, which made him unique in the situation. Also he paid someone who has no ties with me, so he has to settle it via PayPal.

Jthorn and I will evntually come to an agreement, but he is asking for the full $2300 instead of selling the powerbook, and letting me pay the difference. So its going to take sometime.

Though I am happy with the speed at which things are moving.

Thanh and D3020 have agreed to post up pictures of the money orders when they receive them, so people know I am legit.

no wonder why scam still exist, if you have so many naive people that are trying to resolve situation by saying on the net "give me my money back", that makes me laugh, of course you wont get it.
If I was scammed I would have two choices.
A. Going to that person home and taking my money back by force(if he/she has no money I would take TV, computer, doors or whatever)
Before that I would call/email to that person that im going to visit him/her
But this is risky, because you may end up in jail
B. I would go and report a fraud
there are no other options,

^ ummm maybe read the entire thread. I am getting upset that you some of you are not reading the story, and then jumping to your own fabricated conclusions.

Two people have trackings #s for their money order reimbursements. Again, I need to reitterate that I am not the criminal in this situation. I am just giving them their money as a temp situation, until I can gather the evidence to make a concrete case against the real criminal.

3/5 of the positively IDed victims will be reimbursed this week, 2 of them by tomorrow.

i didnt say you are a criminal, but if I were you I would just wait for the police/whatever, explain them your story, that you dont know what they are talking about or you do but its not you, and if they want make you a case let them do it, thats it,

My mistake. Sorry mate. You can imagine im on the defensive right now when an entire board is doubting my integrity.

I know I should speak to my local authorities, but I cant do anything until I have hard evidence, so they take me seriously. Thats how the cops work. They prioritize by how fast they can resolve something.

They doubt your integrity it because it looks like you have to do something with this (dont quote this, by saying looks i didnt say that you did it)
you said that you are going to send them money, when you do it, make sure you will do a copy of money order/paypal printout/whatever so when you do the other persons case you will have a proof that you actually did it so when you will end up in court (with the scammer) you will get your money back from him/her

Yup. Kept all receipts, and I used delivery confirmation on the money orders Ive sent out so far.

Also, DJThanh and d3020 have agreed to post pictures of their money orders when they receive it, so that people can slowly restore their faith in my integrity.

Just a note here. And not one of guilt or innocence.

Spective, I've been posting as we go here so you should know that I'm keeping up with the story. True I've not lost anything here and it's more out of curiosity and my concern over the trustworthiness of TA.

But you have said that you can't go to the police because of lack of evidence. You also say you have studied law. Now surely you know that you can approach them and say that you have been a victim of fraud (6 times over). Then it would be up to the police to assist in finding the evidence. Also the Internt Police (not sure on the exact department name) would help in assisting where the transactions were made. This applies for Tegus situation. Even though you say you can't help him, your integrity is still in doubt over that and it is still linked to you in some form.

Also just as a side note, where did you study law? Did you say you were in Florida? I know someone who went college there. Can't remember the name of it though.
