Disagree...one is over-the-top while the other is more transparent. Don't Look Now is much more tempered with orchestrations. It's all subjective in the end anyway...

+1

What kind of music style is way out west? Chill prog?
It's definitively not trance

Posted by Miss Lizzie on Oct-18-2004 01:45:

Definitely NOT trance ( which is a good thing i think, otherwise i wouln't love them so much)

Posted by d0uble h3lix on Oct-18-2004 02:27:

they're still retaining their melodic and chillout aspects but moving more to breakbeats in their albums...personally i think its fuckin awesome.

Posted by crrrazydan on Oct-19-2004 16:59:

Mmmmm....

I think this might even top all the Delerium, Portishead, Massive Attack, Enigma albums I have.

Damn I love these phat beats!!

AVB = The king of trance music!
Addicted to: Uplifting trance

Best of all time: Delerium - Silence[Dj Tiesto Mix]

Tunes ATM:
AVB - Blue Fear 2004
Salt Tank - Eugina (Michael Woods Mix)

After about a year or 2 of this, most music enthusiasts get bored (and sleepy) and move onto something more rewarding and challenging (like Way Out West). And chill prog? You can't just pigeonhole their sound, it's been developing and evolving over the past 11 years. If anything, this album is half comprised of pop music with the WOW touch.

Tracks like "Killa" are certainly not chill, but most of them are trance-inducing. I consider it a compliment in today's age to disqualify them as trance. They kick the obvious euro filler cheese synths to the curb and are all the better for doing it.

does anyone know if there is gonna be a 2x12" for this album just like the other two?

Posted by vinnie97 on Oct-20-2004 22:02:

I purchased the 3x12" directly from juno.co.uk on the day of release (Aug. 29th)...

Posted by benchristopher on Oct-20-2004 22:02:

I bought the 3 x 12 over a month ago...

Posted by Floorfiller on Oct-20-2004 22:06:

well shit hahaha...i'm behind the times

goes searching..

thanks people

I never had been that big of a fan of Way Out West, but after hearing Killa and Anything But You, they've had me swooning for more! I think I might just purchase this album, whenever it comes out.

Posted by benchristopher on Nov-26-2004 05:48:

It came out a few months ago

Posted by Jasperovitsj on Nov-27-2004 00:52:

W00t, I finally got it!!!
I ordered the vinyl-release like 3 months ago in my local recordstore and forgot all about it as weeks went by. But this thursday the manager suddenly hands me my copy, and man was I glad!
Just to be able to play Killa on vinyl alone makes this worth it!

Posted by philly fraggle on Nov-27-2004 09:13:

ive had this album since july, i love it and seeing them live was great

Posted by Plastick on Jan-18-2005 13:22:

Just got my copy @ HVM just now. Finished listening to both the CDs once and I can say this album is worth every single cents
I know im sorta late... but still im proud to own this album
