I beat that game! Original Mario Bros for Atari 2600

NO lie, 72 levels and at the end, you get a cake or a picture of it.

Not really...

What was the other game I was referring to with the gameboard like setup?

Posted by torontotrance on Jul-23-2004 16:20:

Atari 2600, the days

I had the boxing game, the baseball game, where they looked like jello, donkey kong, jungle hunt and super mario bros

Posted by RandomGirl on Jul-23-2004 16:35:

I used to play "Bugs Bunny Birthday Blowout" with my brothers when I was about 3 years old.

At one point in the game, you get captured by some evil guys, and you have to press a sequence of buttons to get out. Well, my brothers told me that I had to tell the bad guys in the game a joke , and if it was funny enough, the evil guys would let me go. So here I am, telling the damned TV screen a joke so that I can save Bugs Bunny, as my brothers are pulling one over on me. They always took the controller away from me, and one would distract me while the other would try to do the sequence. I didn't catch on until I was 4 or so. But they did it cause I couldn't *awww*.

So for the longest time, I thought that some of my lame ass jokes (common I was 3,) were absolutely hilarious (when my brother did the sequence right,) and other times I thought my jokes sucked!

HAHA the memories.

Aww.. I wish I could remember a joke I would tell. I can't even begin to think of what my jokes were. Probably the ultimate lame though. Remember, I was just learning the english language!

Posted by RandomGirl on Jul-23-2004 16:42:

I know I would try to encourage it to be funny by laughing really hard after I told it. Even if it didn't make any sense. For some reason I thought if I laughed convincingly enough, they would too. *My brothers often laughed at me because I tried so hard*

lol @ that guy with Soda Popinski as his avatar.

Anyone play the original Mario Brothers for NES - the one where you have to knock the baddies off by breaking the bricks from underneath?

I loved when the crabs got all pissed off and started flashing and running really fast.

Help!
