I got there @ 1:30am.. fuckin DVP was closed south of bloor..
i came in, Marco V was bangin it out... I liked his set, hard and techy.. he closed off his set with katana - in silence (txitxarro remix), that was wikked, love that track... that build up by the end is just insane
Astral Projection was ok... nothing special IMO.. they played hard too, but i like Infected Mushroom 100x more.. got right beside their booth during their "Live PA", and yeah, and didnt see them playing anyhting on the keyboards lol... i didnt mind their drinkin much, but getting plastered like that is a bit going overboard. I dont care that they do it, just dont let it affect what we're paying for. Theyre still there to do a job and they could of been more professional about it. Doesnt mean they cant party along and have a good time tho. Moderation. The ppl partying dont even go around spraying ppl with alcohol and drinkin outta the bottle.
Left the KH, went to guv for a while, Dave Ralph was playing some good tunes
The guv was kicken. A lot more packed than the KH. Didnt stay long. I noticed a funky smell in the orange room everytime i went from Guv/KH LOL.
Wasnt too fond of the "israel, israel" Chants after AP was done, and MIKE was about to start. I didnt mind the flag at all.. Actually i liked it when infected was here. But the chants i felt were uncalled for at that time.. others were chanting PUSH/MIKE, cuz he was gonna start then all i hear is "israel, israel" common.. obviously not the right time
Push, well, simply put, PUSH WAS THE SHIT! Incredible.. He started off a lil slow, then got harder really quickly. I loved his set... Great mixing, great flow, great tracks
Trance the way i like it. Played lots of good tunes, and some push classics too. live another life, the legacy, naranja, somebody (FC mix), just kick (CC mix), never (not the whole track, but beginning), strange world
i left a lil after 6... funn party...

a) Liked Marco V, but didn't love him as much as the people I was with (MarkT and trancekyd this means you).
b) Didn't get Astral Projection (and please nobody accuse me of being anti-israeli... I just prefer my DJs to be sober enough to actually perform without hitting the wrong buttons or accidently knocking the needle off the record. I was happy they decided to just play an old set off their laptop about 30 minutes into the performance... At least that way the music didn't stop quite so often).and why everything had to stop (ie. total silence for 10 minutes) while they set up the keyboards they never used is beyond me. Totally ruined my buzz. I headed over to the patio for a bit after an hour.
c) M.I.K.E. rocked. Anyone who stayed till the end heard about 20 minutes of the best tracks I've ever heard at Guv.
Again, I had an outstanding time. I was extremely exhausted from work when I got in, so I felt like a lame duck during Deep Groove's set....his last track was an eye opener though. Dekoze, what can say what I haven't said about Michael but he's my favourite local right next to Mark (he will never slip out as my fave...and it is Mr.Oliver for the years of training). ....Marco V.....I wish he would cut out the cheesy vocal tracks...but he always redeems at the end killing us with hard tech trance. Waaaaay to early for Marco V to go on, maybe I would have enjoyed to more if he would have gone on later.
...and to fiasco with Astral. Okay I came from a metal, hardcore background so drunkness and stupid behaviour is all good to me. Their performance solidified that psy is favourite genre of trance and I would have to rank it the best set of the year so far....the best of the year for fun factor fo sho. My last years fave set was Infected Mushroom at guv on my birthday and this was jus' as good....hard, greatly produced tracks and lots of trippyness (not afraid of that!) without the cheese factor, IMO. If anyone saw me last night, you prolly saw me all over the place....jus givn'r as I always do.
Push was amazing and I'm really pissed Rich (247)didn't get to see it. I think he would have been blown away as its one of his idols. M.I.K.E was expert in working the crowd as EVERYONE was into his set.
Its always great seeing the usual suspects (Tordan, Durafei etc)as a good company always brings a good time, NO MATTER WHAT!
Nice to party with you Summer21 and your faincee is awesome ...dood totally has his shit together and I see a good companionship there and great future.
Good to see peeps from long drives (DC, NY) Vtec Junkie etc.
Now to rest and healing......cuz next weekend is double trouble cuz its my bday......cherry sat night, and JOOF sunday.

I had a good time at this party. Walked into the kool house to right away see familiar faces. Deep groove was throwing down some good tracks, good way to start the night. I really enjoyed there set actually. Then opened the doors to the guv and since I was with 2 people who had never been to the guv before I went around and gave them the tour.
Came back into the kool haus to catch a very short set by deko ze, he still threw down some quality. On came Marco V, I hadnt really listened to anything of his in a long time but his style hasnt really changed, still playing a lot of trance, tech trance. I couldnt believe how much room there was in the club on this night, having WEMF on the same weekend made a HUGE difference. I was shocked when I walked in to the guv around 1 am and Mark was playing...... TECHNO! Once I walked in there he had a hold of me and I danced like a maniac untill around 3 am. Unfortunatly my one friend had to work at 6 am and I couldnt stay any later, I wanted to check out MIKE but no luck. Oh well I still had a blast
Holy shit, finally woke up and my eyes are finally woking in proper condition that i can see my monitor. It was great to see all u TOTA's there, i forget some names but it was great to talk to u. Vtec_junkie it was great to see u and chill with the crew, sorry about not chilling with u guys longer, but there was some things i had to deal with, anyways, everybody killed, and i especially like the way deko-ze was playing, just got me ready for marco. I got to say marco played a great set, but the set he played buffalo was a bit harder which is what i like from marco. AP was exactly what i expectd, good to hear some classics, but they freaked me out a couple times. Push was freakin great, and after they closed KH, the crew and i went to guv to dance a bit more. One thing i have to say is that i wish it upon no one to go to a after party. I somehow got talked into going to the one after us5, it fukin sucked, there so many skechy asians and overall so many other sketchy people there. I freakin hated it, well anyways, again good see alll the nyta's and tota's, catch u again at LOL. I almost forgot, thank u so much john for the guestlist, and good meeting u man.

it was my 1st time partying in canada and i had a blast, it was great meeting and partying with all the TA's. vtec i'm so glad you talked us into coming. i wasnt too crazee about the city of toronto in general, i thought it was going to be alot different, but the party scene up there was amazing! i cant believe that vibe, a club packed with people who were all actually there for the music, that hip hop roon in the middle had to be the stupidist thing ive ever heard of in my life, and really took away from the atmosphere of the club in general, and everytime i walked through that room some fukkin scumbag had to try and grab at me. but in the other rooms things were great everyone was just dancing and having fun, and into the music. i was really impressed with the party scene in general, definetly the best vibe besides DC..better than NYC and miami! i enjoyed everyones set, but i must say astral projection blew me away!! i did hear some fukk ups but the tracks they were playing were off the hook! i wish they would have played longer, i think their set was def better in canada then it was in DC...as for the israel chanting and the isralie flags, psytrance is the #1 music in israel so when there is psytrance they come out to represent! i thought it gave the party more of a psytrance feel...you should see the psyparties in NYC..mostly all isralie crowds..crazeeeee!!!
the alcohol situation totally sucked ass at the club tho...they stop serving at 2am, then to top it off they barely put any alcohol in them! terrible!! thats OK though they have something i cant find in the states anywhere...kitty meow meow! i found some of that and was in my own world for the rest of the night. i will definetly be coming back to the guvernment soon, definetly an awesome experience over all, cant wait to do it again.
what kind of losers complain about people partying at a party? go to a fuckin library you geek! So they felt like doing it up in TO - GOOD FOR THEM, I hope they had fun. It doesnt matter what you computer nerds type about them on the internet! This wasnt the Toronto Symphony Orchestra - get a life!!
I'm glad they had fun, and though I wasnt there, I'm sure their music kicked ass and everyone there without a pickle shoved up their ass had a great time.
Spraying champaigne - good, its about time you all whitnessed a real party!
Had no one to go with...i was so frikin pissed..waited to see M.I.K.E. for soOOoo LOng...oh well fak it now..

everyone can appreciate a little joking around and crowd interaction at the expense of technical flawlessness...hell, isn't that why everyone loves Max Graham?
There's fun, and then there's being unprofessional and idiotic...
Astral Projection crossed that line...particularly in disrupting the sets of Marco and M.I.K.E....as was posted, Marco himself was annoyed at the way those guys were acting, saying he'd never witnessed crap that like that before. M.I.K.E. told them off too. How can anyone say that behaviour is cool and that people are just complaining?
And I had no problems with the flag bearers...I like seeing that level of enthusiasm from fans!
As far as live PA sets go from our Israeli friends, Infected Mushroom's set in Jan (with G&D and Rank 1) was WAY better than AP's set this past weekend. I'll cross them off the list of people I care to hear in the future.
ah, how did I forget thanking the crew?!? Half my fun comes from being around good people....trancekyd, *THANK YOU* for leading us straight to the front for Marco's set!!! I think I only had a so-so time at Decadence because everyone was on different wavelengths and it was great to be in sync with someone throughout the night! Chrismack, beanieboy, Cedric, Chris, Natalie (and your friend who's name I forget)...always a pleasure!
Next up...J00F, followed by Scumfrog & Pete Tong! Then LoL! This is turning out to be one hell of a summer

i second that...
note to the guvernment/kool haus staff:
NOBODY WANTS YOUR GARBAGE HIP HOP!!!
why not put at least breaks in there instead? at least it wouldn't be a total buzz killer. i avoided guvernment at all costs because of this.
shoulda called it ultra thug 5

Overall it was a pretty average night for me. It was nice to run into some old school TAs like Cuzo and Kevin, but the music was nothing spectacular. I found Marco V's set kind of boring, AP were just idiots, and I lost all respect for them, finally M.I.K.E was good but not amazing. I found that the party did not have the overall energy and euphoric vibe that I'm accustomed to at the Guv. complex. Nevertheless, I had a pretty good time.
So, in summary:
Marco V rocked it, Astral Projection were drunk & disrespectful, and M.I.K.E. was awesome, but everyone was too wiped out.
(repeat)
Brian- sorry I missed u babe (and Skytrance girl was here too??). Since u were with me at MIKE's set at Mansion, at least I can count on your judgement / comparison between the 2 sets. Still bummed that I missed seeing Marco & MIKE here, but sometimes u gotta make sacrifices. You're so lucky u saw him play his old anthems- he didn't play a single one in Miami.

i completely agree, having to walk through the orange room was miserable, and completely would kill the buzz. difficult to walk through, lots of sweaty people not moving for you, and hip hop. reminds me a lot of the more popular clubs in buffalo, which i avoid.
ick.
