It certainly was an opportunity the Grand Nagus would have fainted at.

I would like to believe Donald Trump would smile about such a deal too.

To make it possible to share his music with as many people as possible and because there are a couple of earlier released tracks, the CD will be available for a nice price!

It's not like he is the only dj/producer who does that though.

Yeah, yeah, you're angry, we get it with less whipping.
Most of them will be out on CD singles anyway.

Yeah, Breda 8PM (DJ Montana Edit) is the official name. It was never Tijs' remix, as Montana confirmed it on his site a while ago.

Posted by memusa on Sep-14-2004 04:26:

The only reason I could find for this release to be worth it is for its new releases....but then again...Tiestos releases and mixing in the past year and a half have left a lot to be desired...shame on you Tiesto...

Ok thanks...

But this doesnt make much sense to me.

Why isnt it titled
Dallas 4 PM (DJ Montana Edit)

How there is a whole new name to it?

Or why not this
Tiesto & DJ Montana - Breda 8PM

Seems weird that the full name changed with a remix...understand what i mean?

Yeah, it is weird, but I guess they just decided to rename it. It would make much more sense, like you said, to stick with Dallas 4PM (DJ Montana Edit), but it looks like they didn't. I don't mind the name change too much, though.

Everyone keeps talking of this Lethal Industry (Tiesto 2004 Mix)
is it possible it is not (Tiesto 2004 Mix) but instead this::

Lethal Industry (DJ Richard & John Bass Remix)

which is on Tiesto's new Just Be CD..well the double CD with remixs...
maybe it is that remix

Well it was Tiesto & his management who announced he'd reworked some of his old tracks for 2004 as well as made some new ones... dammit... you've found an acceptable remix from Lethal Industry (although i've never heard that) and we know Montana is the one to re-edit Dallas, or should i say Breda.. and Cor is currently spinning a track titled 'Theme From Norefjell (COr Fijneman 2004 Mix)...

SO maybe tiesto sat in the studio and watched his mates remix the tracks...

Posted by idoru on Sep-15-2004 21:45:

I don't think it's the DJ Richard and Jon Bass remix. The other two remixes of old tunes haven't been released yet, and I doubt that that would be an exception.

I don't think that the Lethal Industry track on the upcoming CD is the 2004 remix either, based off of the fact that it was the original that he played at the opening ceremonies. I'd say that there's the possibility that the new remix was renamed (based off of Dallas 4PM to Breda 8PM), but I doubt it. The name would still have something to do with the original words in the song, and none of those fit it.

So, I don't think that the 2004 remix of Lethal Industry will be on the CD or the vinyl-pack.

yes, or putting the tracks/set up on his website as a FREE, legal download
sander k did, holden it did to great success, it would have worked and got a huge amount of people on the tiesto website

Posted by mndeg on Sep-15-2004 23:30:

he could of made it more of a money making opportunity by playing cheese songs

flight 643 is not mainstream friendly

Even though i try my best these past 2 years to stay away from defending Tiesto on here i will answer this.

Sander and Holden do it because they have no where near the success or popularity as DJ Tiesto...so by giving stuff for free or giving "exclusive" things on their site they draw more people.

DJ Tiesto on the other hand has probally the biggest fan base, rivaling Oakenfolds old one. He does not need to draw fans for free sets, t-shirts, misc crap because they come anyway. Tiesto does not need more people on his site or more people at his shows, unliek Sander, Holden and countless other DJs.

People seldom realize that DJ's are also business men. This is their livley hood, their proffesion the thing that puts food on their table. I keep hearing people talk about Tiesto going for the money and he is greedy blah blah blah. It is so patently absurd for people to say this. I do not see these same people cry like little girls that Bill Gates is not giving away free copies Microsoft Office or Warren Buffet giving free finacial advice because they are worth billions, yet you bitch and moan about not getting free crap from a man who does his best to please you at live shows and by producing, a man who can not even hold a candle to Gates or Buffets dollar.

Tiesto is doing the right thing...he should reap the benefits of this whole DJ thing for as long as he can. Remember these DJs are their own bosses, they do not get retirement plan or health benefits unless they pay for them themselves and they surley won't be DJing to the age of 65.

So next time you bitch like a little girl about Tiesto being greedy and not throwing you a free tshirt remember this is his JOB and he would not go to your job and ask for something free simply because you are a fan. Wake up people, it is a tough world out there and money sadly makes it go round...maybe when you grow up and move from mommy and daddys house you will find this out and look back and say "damn Tiesto was a smart man cashing in while he could".

Well-fucking-said.

Oh, and the only reason Holden's remixes of that Britney Spears tune were put on his site was because he didn't have the rights to release them. Thus, he put them up for free.

Tisto has all of the rights to the tunes he's releasing, thus he will give them the full release.

Here's a question to the person who said Tijs should be like Holden and Sander... If you had the rights to release a tune, would you do to it so it could be on vinyl and shared to DJs other than those who got a promo copy, or would you release it for free, in an audio format that wont sound too good in a club?
