Nice quiet night, d-bass did pretty well, wouldn't have minded the lyrics to "come around again" and "burned with desire", but pretty awesome to hear em nonetheless.

Enjoyed Steve and Manglers set, although probably would have preferred to have them playing seperate, i think they do better on their own.

It was good to drop in for a couple of hours, I probably shouldn't have gone at all, but that dosen't matter. Would have liked to have stayed longer, but work to be done, uni is killing me atm.

Nice to meet some new people, joax, and james (Doc Matrix?).

But for the moment I'm in the same boat lou, but when uni finishes. I promise I'll be up for anything.

*Btw, some of those photo's are nice... good work*

Yeh it was a pretty good night. Pity I was absolutely _wrecked_ even before I got there. Nothin like having painters waking you up at 7:30 every morning

Good to start putting some names to faces from round here, look forward to bumping into you peeps in the future! Oh yeh, and D-Bass was _hawt_ :P

Highlight of my night: Anomyst telling me about THIS partay:

Godspeed - Subzero

Kevin Energy, Scott Brown, Hixxy, K Complex, Sharkey, AMS.... nnngggnnnn..... can't...... take......

eh what u talkin about
i was mesmerised by the music

nice night, havent been clubbing for a while, d-bass was tops i thought, the tunes she played werent bad either.
steve and albert were good, dave was good, first track dave played was a corker, what was it?
marsh was alright but i think reuben was taking it a bit too far, a bit synth heavy for me, but at least he was going off which is fun to look at anyway. i bet he has dreams of playing the violin...
a couple of odd sorts there as well, and i didnt even have to say a word, i just sit down and the chicks are all over me...
all up was pretty good night i enjoyed it

Posted by Joax on Oct-10-2004 12:01:

Wow - It was a great night! I loved it... really had a great time. There weren't too many people there but I think that made it even better - more room for dancing

Excellent tunes played and the single laser really did it for me.

Hello to everyone I met. If I was better at remembering names I would be able to name you all but I can't. If you see me again please say hi. This is why I know tachyon - he remembers everyones name so I just follow him around and he introduces or re-introduces me.

Looking forward to my next opportunity to have a boogie with you all.

Actually I found that laser kinda annoying. It was angled in such a way that the bastard was constantly directed right in my eyes, almost no matter where I was on the floor! I prefer it when concentrated light energy is aimed a little off-center to my retinas :P

Thats why I like to close my eyes while dancing. Yes you do hit drinks out of peoples hands and find yourself facing a direction you didn't expect but it saves your retinas.

That or I would just go closer or further away from the laser to ensure my eyes were below or above it.

Posted by G`Dave on Oct-11-2004 10:15:

I'm quite sure its illegal to have lasers directed into the crowd. I know there are tight regulations on the operation of laser projectors.

But I don't really think they enforced all that well, I simply suspect altitude just bought it and mounted it as they saw fit, without any thought at all as to these regulations.

Hey dude, good to see you fine self the other night. This is a genuine question: where other than into the crowd would you point a laser in a club envronment? (curious)

Posted by G`Dave on Oct-12-2004 02:37:

Over the top of everyone's head.

I think these regulations apply to lasers over a certain power rating. The one at altitude might have just come in under this, but if it did it wouldn't have been by much.

Major events that use the higher powered lasers certainly have to take this into consideration, as there isn't (or shouldn't be) laser directed into the crowd. (I'll make a note at the next mojor event to see if it ever does)

Ok, cool.
