My etymotic earplugs are always with me when I'm going to a club. They're not custom made so the price is reasonable and they work amazingly well at lowering the volume over the entire frequency range, not just certain areas. As a result, everything still sounds crisp and clear.
Also, I heard that ListenUp! Canada is offering free hearing tests right now, so anyone is concerned about their hearing that might be something to check out.

bump.
The two times that I've been to a club without earplugs I've left with ringing ears. I usually bring out the cheap foam ones with me since its better than nothing. I've ordered a pair of ER-20's, I just hope they arrive here in time for Decadence
After watching It's All Gone Pete Tong recently and then having an ear ache when I went to New York I got all freaked out about my hearing. I haven't gone out partying without ear-plugs. Thank you Cale for letting me borrow them!!
yes i should have looked here first. but i like my thread. and plus i got my questions directly answered!
im going to order some ER-20s RIGHT NOW!!!!
