I think this is good for the game. i think it needs a little more excitement.

Posted by Sly_Guy on Nov-21-2004 17:53:

see, fans here know better. As soon as they throw a punch, it makes their lawsuit a harder case. I'd take a black eye from jermane o'neal for 2 million dollars. Wouldn't you?

Yeah, gotta love this country for opportunities like that...

On the other hand, the Raptors' win against Spurs was really good, coming back from a 19 point deficit (haven't they done that in every single game, coming back from a huge deficit only to lose by a point or two?). And, as expected, this came with Carter & Rose on the bench. HA! I think Raptors should just try and get Derek Anderson or Van Exel alone from Blazers in exchange for these two, free up some room for people that actually CAN play.

yeah props to Lamond Murray for a good game .. nice to see that he's fitting in with Sam Mitchell's plays ..

happy the "finally" won
VC only 4 points
kick'm out

Posted by sake on Nov-21-2004 22:31:

..raptors tickets are half price the next two games..

..they were half price today too but the game was too early..

Posted by Crazy Serb on Nov-22-2004 00:01:

...and Ron Artest is out for the rest of the season. OUCH!

Indiana, good luck.

Posted by Sly_Guy on Nov-22-2004 00:16:

looks like detroit's fans crippled the pacers this year.

'hey ronnie! just because someone offers you their beer doesn't mean you jump into the stands and clock him!'

Yeah I give vince till the end of the week, I doubt he'll be around much longer, especially with the way the team plays when he's not on the floor.

Yep. I say, build the team around Chris Bosh... he seems to be growing into another Jermaine O'Neal type of a player.

Posted by Sly_Guy on Nov-22-2004 00:48:

I like the way chris bosh plays. He doesn't attract a huge amount of attention, but he contributes all over the place. He plays within the system and still gets his 20pts/10rebs a game. Like a KG, you'd never know he was dominating the game till you look at the stat sheet.

Posted by Yohan on Nov-22-2004 02:17:

If Rose and Carter goes, Raps will need a shooting guard.

I say go for Allen, or maybe Stojakovic.

Posted by Crazy Serb on Nov-22-2004 10:04:

Hell, I'd get Kenyon Martin if I could in exchange for both of them...

Posted by dEsidEL on Nov-22-2004 15:37:

i say we trade Vince for Artest, then atleast we could get a guy who actually tries hard at something ..

yeah, someone who tries next year

and askes for a month off to promote his new rap album

Posted by MarkT on Nov-22-2004 19:25:

LOL, yeah, forget Artest...he's on a little holiday now

I'm telling ya...Ginobili...but I think Vrk is right...San Antonio would be stoopid to part with him...although when you consider that Carter will likely really return to form once he leaves (bastard!), San Antonio might drool at the thought of a Parker/Carter backcourt with Duncan up front between Rose and Berry!

I'd be really happy to see Ray Allen come over...but again...Seattle would be dumb to trade away someone with comparable skills to Carter who puts in the effort every single game.

Posted by Yohan on Nov-23-2004 21:58:

And after Carter's comments yesterday, he's officially a gimp.

Posted by deano1_ on Nov-23-2004 23:43:

the funniest part about the Craptors is how they start 3-0, like they might actually do something this year, y'know, maybe vince is back to his old self. then the wheels start falling off and wince is only scoring like 14 a game, and the poor fans just know what's coming next.

"I don't want to dunk anymore"
vince carter

i would be ashamed just to have that guy playing in my city, fucking whiner!

Posted by Sly_Guy on Nov-24-2004 03:41:

4-6.

Anyone notice when carter has a 'good game' the team loses?

Posted by TheVrk on Nov-24-2004 03:55:

they just couldnt get a rebound 2nite....
any basketball mind knows the 2 MOST important things in b-ball:
1. defence
2. rebounding

only got to watch the first half and a bit, but being
outrebounded by 20 in the half alone is IMPOSSIBLE
to overcome....
conclusion? they need donyell back BAD.
reporters were mentioning that he's close to returning
which cant come too soon

Posted by Yohan on Nov-24-2004 03:58:

If Vince scores 20 pts per game consistently, Toronto will win 60% of games.

Posted by crazedcanuck on Nov-24-2004 04:33:

4 minutes left, Raptors down 81-87, in the midst of a strong run, make another key defensive stop.... Vince picks up the loose ball, tosses it to the top of the key, starting the rush.. FOR THE FUCKING WIZARDS AS ANTWAN JAMISON SAYS THANKS FOR THE FREE PASS!!!!

Then, Vince stands there as Antwan does a floating finger-roll right over him, putting them up 89-81, and the momentum is gone.

DIE!

HAHAHAA!

Back in the old dayz, eh?

You can officially call that "old school" Carter...

Posted by MarkT on Nov-24-2004 05:32:

lol...yeah, no kidding. it's not even just fans complaining...this no-Dunk, no-effort Carter has almost become common knowledge.

I'll paraphrase badly, because I'm stoned , buut after one particularly athletic dunk by Carter, one commentator says something like 'that wasn't (Carter) tonight, though'...other announcer chuckles, 'no...that was a loooooong time ago!'.
