Sidney Ponson?

He's just some big fat dude. Is he the Orioles ace still?

The Orioles every year say they are gonna get this guy and that guy. They should shit in one hand and wish in the other and see which one comes first.

If Mets want Delgado, with the way things are going, they'll get him too. Personally, I'm not a big Delgado fan. I think he's a whiny baby who produces when it matters least. At the same time, he's obviously an upgrade over what the Mets/Orioles currently have.

There is so many threads that are non EDM related, hostility to this thread is weak. +I enjoy communicating with people who are mainly talking Eastern baseball, my preferred choice.

Regardless of when Delgado 'produces,' his .380-.420 OBP is something the Mets haven't had since John Olerud.

In any case, I'd much rather have Mientkiewicz or Olerud than Delgado at this point. There is no need for us to rush into anything more. Sign or trade for a defensive 1st basemen and call it an off season.

ooh! new "sweeping" changes to the baseball steroid policy

Sosa to the O's!! i know he's in the decline of his career, but the O's desperately needed another power bat in the lineup. and plus its only 314 to the left field wall. prolly more of a deal to sell tickets rather than to win, cuz if the O's wanted to win, they would have gone after some pitchers more aggressively.

think he'll do good in bmore? possible playoff spot for them over the sox or yanks?

Who cares? As long as he's not a Met, I'm super duper happy.
