umm, what is the difference between Tech-trance and trance?
Now to answer the question, the answer can never be answered, for it to be answered the whole world would have to agree on one Dj, which this would never happen. But I guess you can get somewhat of an answer through a Poll(cough, djmag). This will let you know who the majority of people who listen to EDM think is no.1(well not really, but at least it shows which Dj has the most supportive fans). In this case its Dj Tiesto.
For me I dont really have a favorite, but it used to be Dj Tiesto, who when I got into Trance, he was one of the first djs I listened too and isntantly thought his stuff was awesome, first being mainly Armin Van Buuren, and probably the first ever Trance dj was Dj Dean(one of his TTF vol's).

not idiots just not as evolved in their EDM knowledge - listening since 85 I find it hard pressed to talk to people who have a grasp on 1 style let alone a dozen.
"there is nothing more dangerous - than a man with nothing to lose -nothing to live for and nothing to prove"
may we all strive for a greating understanding of that which makes us happy and never claim to know everything - expand the room!

thanks very much - it is true though. EDM is ever-changing - boundaries pushed. Some people cry over the good old days - our parents and grandparents all cry the same - stuck in memory - instead of creating new ones. I embrace everything this music has to offer - a positive aspect to an otherwise negative social environment.
Universal in its appeal - we are all one. People should recognize.
(light - right!) DCD and a little Wink in there too
