I use the ellipsis a lot... HA.

I also tend to post one sentence at a time with spaces in between each line.

Again, HA.

And, uhm, yeah. I post like I talk. Beyotch.

You're one of the only people that went from "fucktard" to "okay".

Wow, that's actually rather cool. You can close the thread if you want, you know. I close every thread I start when I'm finished with it (unless Neo beats me to it which often he does). What's funny is now when I see your name, I'll think eh, he's the first guy to ever post in COR.

I think I might be the only person who has no clue how to close his own thread.

Help would be appreciated.

bottom right of the thread you started...Admin options

Posted by Echo of Silence on Feb-25-2005 05:11:

Well, I've only made a couple. It's easier to delete them than to close them.

If memory serves me correctly, you go to the first page of the thread. Down in the lower right corner, there's some kind of option (admin option?) to close or open thread.

You click it. Thread closed. I closed my big thread by accident once and learned that when you close it, you can't reopen it unless you are a mod in that forum.

To delete a thread that you start, you go to your original post and click on the edit button (to edit the original post). Now, you go to the top of the edit page, check the delete box on the left and then click on the delete button on the right.

Voila! The thread is gone.

Thank you both.

We're all n00bs at heart.

We just hate to admit it.

Eh, I'm always deleting things. So I learned early on, if you start a thread and delete the first post, the whole thread disappears.

The locking thing...well I love having the last word. Typical female.

That I knew from the start. Only recently did I find out that users were able to lock topics.

I loved reading you when you were Spec. So I suppose when I read you now, I think to myself, eh, this is spec...but you're not spec anymore at all if you know what I mean. I know it's hard to be brutal to people you like. By the way, I joined that forum that you linked us to in another thread so I could entertain myself one morning and witness "Spec" in action but I couldn't figure out how to find you (that forum seems huge!!) so I studied for an exam instead.

Yes, one of my biggest TA enemies to one my best friends, I think you to blame for me being too nice now.

Funny how life works. Now I couldn't imagine not knowing you. It's just like you said to me the other day...

Yep, unfortunately the administrators didn't see the funny side as well. Once I blew my cover it was hard to get the same reaction as I did at the start, as everybody knows I'm really the TA nice guy, hehe, with a black sense of humour. For a while I think people thought I was a serial killer or something.

I'm probably more offensive now at times as I was then, but its a little more balanced...

Was it this one?

No being nice to me on TA, you'll ruin the tough guy image I've got going.
