My Review
Here's my late review... Without question, i'm gonna have to say this was the best Trance party of the year! Armin delivered and played a lot better set then i expected (KING SET) as well as Orkidea's set too... which i thought he played better this time around then at Wintergalactic. uhmmm blah blah blah... met alot of T.A.'s (old and new), blah blah set up was amazing, i've never seen the docks look that good before..... bla blah blah State 01 = IN-FUCKIN-SANE!!!!!!!

it's been a while since i've posted and holy shyte the postings for wg02 is goin nuts!!! it's nice tho to see that everyone is excited for a party that's months away... haven't seen this kinda anticipation in the scene in a while. you all rock!

hey state was my first party and i was wondering if its considered a rave or event or what?

i wouldn't have considered it a rave. A definite kick ass party yes... but not a rave
something that's closer to what raves used to be... hmm... remember bassmint and sunshines anyone? the old school hulla scene, purple heaven, nightmare... where the leading and the following is more towards the underground scene of electronic music.
could get into more details about it.... but then i'd jus be rambling
jus answering a question... state01 was a party/event... but not (in my opinion) a rave...

Hmm, yeah I agree somewhat with toosweet, but I would call it a rave. Sure it's not how raves used to be, but this how raves are now... Besides I classify 'parties' into two categories, they're either a club event or a rave, and that imo was a rave. But to each his own, I don't call 'raves' raves, I just call 'em all parties. So they're all 'parties'!
Lemme give u the lowdown/downlow. Sonic State organizes high quality events that bring in what they consider the best local and international talent alongside top notch production. Usually the crowd that attend their parties are older, whereas raves have more of the kiddies. However though, past parties have not been restricted to 19+ attendees. So you can't really call SS parties raves or a club events. Its a bit of both worlds. And that's what they thrive to do, organize parties that unite all kinds of crowds. However SS will throw two types of parties from now on, ones that are 19+ and events that are all ages. Their next big event will be 19+.
Sonic State don't consider themselves "rave" throwers, even tho they are ravers at heart.

Yup i was referring to Wintergalactic...
Better to know now so you can prepare some necessary documents... 
So next Wintergalactic will be 19+ ?
Hm.. Too bad. I'm 20, but some of my friends are still underage.. Too bad.
