after seeing the newest starwars eps 3..
i gotta say..
it was good.
I too thought this movie was just ok. A big improvement over the last two episodes, but that aint saying much.
An ok storyline, but as most people said:
-bad dialogue! "We always wanted to adopt a baby girl" (PUKE!) a simple: 'we always wanted a baby girl' would've sufficed.
-Padme's character pulled a full 180, going from stoic to sappy. So disappointed in that.
-Anakin was TOO easily swayed by the dark side in this film. Should've developed that more.
-droid & animal characters had very childish sounds at serious moments.
-really disliked the light sabers in this one. wayyy too digitized- during fight scenes u were just blinded by the light, and not in a good way. I miss the old light sabers.
Way too much hate in this thread, picky bastards.

May 25th...Happy Star Wars Day!!!
Enough is enough. Let's not bash George Lucas for 1 whole day because on May 25, 1977 Star Wars was originally released and it changed the history of cinema and pop culture forever. Honestly, his epic 6 movies saga is a brilliant masterpiece illustrating the hero's journey for Anakin Skywalker on a mythic level making him one of the greatest storytellers of all time.
No joke this man will be remembered as a visionary and historians in the future will compare him to Shakespeare and Homer for his genius in storytelling using the medium of film.
Happy birthday STAR WARS!!!

i like movies.
"TARKIN: This bickering is pointless. Lord Vader will provide us with
the location of the Rebel fortress by the time this station is
operational. We will then crush the Rebellion with one swift stroke."

| Originally posted by dEsidEL this is what i originally thought he was going to do. start the trilogy off where Anakin was the same age as Luke from Episode 4. atleast that way parallels could be drawn between the 2 characters in terms of their development. instead EP1 wasted so much precious time that he could have used to his advantage in telling more about the "Anakin story", which essentially is what the whole trilogy revolves around. |
Rick McCallum is a funny guy (watch the dvd of TPM), but he's too much of a yes man. 'yes george sir, whatever you want" is an attitude that seemed far too common around Lucasfilm and ILM the last ten years.
I use to hate Star Wars. I think it was because I watched the first 3 when I was like 5 or 6, and really what girl at that age is going to like Star Wars?
My boyfriend is a Star Wars fanatic, so I decided to give Star Wars another chance. I watched Episode 1,2,4,5 and 6 within 2 weeks then saw Episode 3 on opening night. I really liked all of them, but I loved Episode 3, I thought by far that this was the best one. (I even cried in it when Padame died.)

It's about suspension of disbelief, don't want to suspend your disbelief and instead pick apart the movie to death? Don't watch science fiction.

indiana jones 4 ho ho ho.
I watched Episode 3 yesterday with my brother. I thought it was by far the best of the 3 newer Star Wars movies. Lots of action, great CGI and basically tied all the loose ends together in the story. I just wish this was Episode 1, not 3 as it would have made a far more interesting.
dvd rip is already released. hype
The Lucasfilm people blocked it on torrentspy for "Revenge of the Sith",
"This search query has been blocked at the request of the copyright holder, in compliance with
the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA")"
the entire Star Wars saga could have been prevented with one of these:
