cmon thats quite a few people! and basically all post fairly regularly!

Well i think that Australia/Australasia has good reason to have its own forum. We are MILES away from anywhere else in the world, almost sort of isolated, so it would make good sense for us to talk amongst ourselves about anything to do with trance like local producers and events that are coming up etc etc...

Australia "the worlds biggest Island" drink bacardi... i find it hard to believe we dont have a forum yet.

I dont see what this has to do with France getting there own forum. I dont know french, but it looks more like a short story about how trance has progressed over the years...
But anyway well done to loginZ for the work he put into it, its a pity i cant read it.

Also we can assume that once an Aussie forum is running (keep the dream alive people) it will attract more Aussies to the forum. To get an idea of the potential just check out the forums at sites like http://www.thescene.com.au

GRR I hate the Melbourne dance scene, everywhere i have been it's all fucking UK shitty hard house and hard nrg, i can't stand it.. where is the good shit, i love the hard stuff Marco V spins, just listen to Live at Club Eau - 11-24-2001.

I want to here some of that style here at least, and trance! where is all the trance??, there is no atmosphere around hard house/hard nrg, its just angry .. listening to some of ferrys sets here at home has more emotion to it than going to any club around here, its just shit.

when will trance move in down here and be popular?

If anyone knows any good clubs which spin NEW trance, please tell me.

Posted by Pointy on Dec-15-2001 08:47:

dude, check out Room 680 in Glenferrie RD.. not exactly full trance but progressive trance/house club.. pretty sweet

Posted by DjTS-NeXiLe on Dec-15-2001 16:25:

Yeh, i think with an Aussie Forum on TA we could really try and promote a trance scene in Australia, all that Hard House like u said and not to mention the prolific spawning of this R&B CRap!...

Maybe i can have some hope.... maybe...

PS: Good to see u still have ur hella funny sense of humour mr_stamper hehe

Well, yeah. I've got to be completely honest with you, I'm struggling to come up with any clubs - in Melbourne anyway - that dish out that trancey sound. Personally I prefer the housey/progressive sounds anyway, so it don't bother me that much, but it'd still be nice to find a place that can take me back to 1998 every once in a while.

But I agree with you with that r'n'b rubbish. My god I could go on for days about how much I hate that shite - and I know that people have different musical tastes, but how anyone could appreciate that kinda music is beyond me. And it's not just the music but the image as well - I mean, go into the r'n'b room of any club (most of them have one these days) and there's always the same type of people there: guys who think they're "da bomb", girls who think they're "da bomb" and the obligatory drunk guys who are just up there to pull..... not that I can blame them really.

But yeah the music's so soulless and middle of the road - and is there some sort of rule that says you must play 2Pac's California once every 15 minutes in every one of these places? Get over it you wannabes! Yeesh, these people piss me off. They don't give a shite about the music, they're just in it for the image. And is there any reason that 94.3% of the top 40 is r'n'b influenced? And that people don't believe me when I say that r'n'b is just pop music for people who think they're cool?

Bah.

Anyway, just needed a vent.

Aussie, aussie, aussie?

Why not?

I don't see any reason why not... In fact, why not expand the forums to cover the enitire WORLD! You're leaving out ASIA, the biggest continent in the world! What about Asia? Have an International forum!

Yeah i know what you mean. Trance is very hard to find here in Adelaide. There was a trance night that was run a few months ago but no one turned up so now there is no place in Adelaide you can go to listen to trance. Everything seems to be progressive house these days.

Cool, nice board layout and design. I'm registering as we speak. It still would be a lot more convenient if we had our own section here tho.
