i think religion would be better if people didnt try to push it as hard as they do...

i used to be a Jehova's Witness for like half my life and according to them celebrating anything is a sin - i had my first birthday party when i was like 13yrs old because before then i would've "gone to hell"

personally i think its a bunch of baloney - how could the act of acknowledging somones life be evil

i understand the whole Xmas thing - yeah jesus wasnt born on xmas or whatever and yeah maybe it is wrong to lie to kids and tell them some fat dude is coming down the chimney (or thru the front door for those who aren't fourtunate enough to have a chimney ) to bring them gifts might not be the most honest thing to do... but back in the day the idea was good incentive to get kids to behave or theyd get coal

Yes, the pagan holidays. My grandmother was studying with Jehovah Witness's for awhile. They kept pressuring for her to join the church. I don't understand that. Should they not feel granted that they are spreading the word, despite whether or not their institution gains extra members. Well, I guess it's because here, they built their own church and use solely fundings from the members for whatever may be needed for the congregation. Anyways, she no longer studies as much. She can't get over their conceptions of gun control, blood donation and the woman's role.
