Yes, and he is playing 6 hours in Toronto for the equivalent of $40 USD. 4 hours is short for a Tiesto set and extremely short for a Tiesto in Concert. I will still more than likely go to one of the east coast shows though. I have been checking Ticketmaster for how many tickets are left. While it's hard to say with the GA tickets, the upper levels seem to be going at a steady pace.

I saw Tiesto here in SF and thought his set was GREAT. The crowd sucked, but the set was NOICE. Pretty progressive, though. But still, he didn�t sit around talking to the girls all over the stage. He buckled up and focused on the decks and it showed. Beautiful track selection, mixing, etc. It was unfortunate it was only two hours.
I forgot where else he played that week, might have been in LA or maybe it was Vegas, but again�the reports were �he was fucking up. Not paying attention. etc etc. boring.�

So as I said, I feel the problem people should have with him is not over the quality of his mixing abilities or track selections, but rather the passion put towards them. When that passion and focus is there, he is still the shiznot.

I really hate talking any type of shit about Tiesto. He was my favorite DJ the second my brother-in-law brought me back some mix CD of his in like 1997 while he was in Amsterdam. He is still my favorite DJ deep down today, which is why I will always have hope for Tiesto�just like I have hope for Oakenfold�.although my hope for Oakey is fading at this point.

But that's just me.
even though i dont agree with much of what u say....i have to agree with u on this....ive seen Tiesto 12 times and just once, it seemed like he didnt really want to be there.....Vision in 2004....he can be by far the best when he wants to be......

im flying into Sacramento for a friends birthday and we are driving down to LA to go to Catalina Island....trying to convince the 10 other people to come with me to see this...hopefully i can swing it...would love to see Tiesto in that place....havent been there since Monster Massive 2003.....

on another note...im hearing rumors of Tiesto at Millenium Park in Chicago....anyone else hear this?

Tiesto NYE was the worst most expensive NYE celebration I have been to. He can spin at most two hours, so it would not matter if his set is 4 or 6 hours.

IS it really 80 bones just for a 4 hour set. And about the Tiesto trainwrecking argument. I just saw him in chicago at vision last weekend for a 5 hour set and he was pretty good, for 15 bucks too. The mixing was alright and his new cd ISOS 4 is melodical uplifting trance which he pretty much played. My opinion is that he knows he is tiesto and number 1 for so long and that his shows will sell out whether he sux or not, thus he can get away with being ok. In another forum on TA they argued over what was his last great set. I think you would have to either get lucky or see him in like ibiza or amsterdam for it to be an amazing "TIESTO" show.

PS is this show really all ages?

Now thats a good deal a free T shirt worth at least $20 whihc now values the GA ticket at $47 which is only a few dollars more than a regular club night.

1. The T-Shirt is just a cheap method of justifying the cost. That's just their way of justifying the costs. Those shirts probably cost $2 to make...yes, shirts w/ designs are about that cheap to make if you make enough of them.

2. For me, I wouldn't dare pay $40 to go see Sasha alone. But you know? At this point in time, paying $40 to see Sasha would be more justified because there's a better chance he'll play a brilliant set. And you are forgetting something. That's $47 for a contrained area...a damn seat. Not even room to dance or hop around. Those seats are rediculous for this type of event.

I think you missed the point Dave, for 67$ you get a GA ticket which lets you in anywhere but the VIP and you gte a shirt. the only seats that are confined are the $37 ones that makes you stay in the bleechers which still inst bad as it isnt asigned seating and you can roam around and dance where you want.

And yes...I would pay 40$ to see Sasha alone...but instead I payed 35$ to see him AND Desyn Masiello on an amazing sound system for seven hours...and I was not on the guestlist nor did I factor in a 2$ t-shirt to the price.

I'd say it was worth it...
