I just download this and the only thing i can say is...
AMAZING!!!

So many great tracks Hardfloor, Rob Acid, Wink etc. Also your tracks are very nice.

You've done an excellent job

I just wanted to comment on the length of this mix and say that it is very impressive, I can't wait to hear.

Acid In The Brain!!!!

Finally got round to listening to this, am digging it
I even recognised acid eiffel, which is excellent
also respect the effort it took to do this, lately i haven't been bothered enough to pick out enough tunes to fill a cd, so can hardly imagine the work you did

btw, i've been listening to it pitched up +14%. authentic oldskool vibe.

This

is fucking

excellent.

DJs have 30 years of electronic music to pool from now, and it sucks to see someone ignore 99% of the fantastic music that's out there and just play last months chart toppers. This is an expertly crafted set. I love a DJ who knows his music. Everything from oldskool acid to modern tech house, this set has it all. I'm merging both of these files into one glorious 6-hour mp3 and bringing it along with me on an extensive road trip this summer. This is perfect "driving in the mountains" music.

And the crazy thing is I'm only 35 minutes into it. I'm giddy at the fact that this set will last me until midnight tonight. Well fucking done.

Praise from Ishkur

Will the wonders never cease?

not as much.

The mixing gets worse as time goes on, and yeah--there are some really cringe-worthy trainwrecks in there. Some awful bad ones. The one after Misjah and Tim - Access was the worst.

You get kudos for the first 2 hours, and the track selection. Now lock yourself in your basement and hone your mixing skills some more.

Posted by Ishkur on Apr-21-2006 21:18:

I don't, that's why I'm holding onto the mix.

(I rarely EVER save mix sets...most get a one-listen and a delete from me. Some don't even get that)

I just dislike it when a bad mix snaps me out of my headspace, y'know? ....I'm grooving to the tune, and then all of a sudden ka-lump ka-lump ka-lump ka-lump...oh crap.

Posted by montana on Apr-21-2006 21:41:

yes yes, i know the feeling.

Posted by thoughtlessjex on Apr-21-2006 21:55:

20 minutes into the first part, and already I'm loving it. Excellent work so far.

Posted by canadian didjer on Apr-22-2006 00:36:

the first half is pretty solid... but the second half.... well uh...

anw looking forward to hearing this set....

the title is in relation to the first track in the set and general correlations between acid and alice in wonderland, and no, i havent seen that movie, though it sounds pretty nice.

as long as the track selection part is done well i'm happy, since i manage the mixing itself better at clubs/etc.

Ahh yes, otherwise known as the non-academic propaganda film pushing a new age pseudo-spirituality about some 30,000 year old dead guru named Ramtha or something like that, sprinkled with interviews of supposed "scientists" and researchers, most of whom have neither the qualifications nor the credentials to discus quantum physics in any official capacity, and the rest of whom were outright pissed off when the film was released because it edited and twisted their words to fit the movie's theme and bias.

Stay away from that one. It's full of some very very VERY bad scientific postulations and some really dodgy connections between physics and spiritual mysticism. In short: It's full of stupid hippie bullshit.

The more sensible of us will watch The Elegant Universe instead.

Brian Greene for the win.

I finally decided to get this after seeing it a couple of times and decided it was too massive for me to get my hands around. Then it received praise from Ishkur, and I just had to hear something that he actually likes. And I must say it's pretty damn nice, and I'm only a little bit into it. Good acidness

Posted by bajeda on Jun-18-2006 08:25:

wow... I've just starting getting into a more acid sound and this set really hits the spot. Me likes.

Liked a lot of the tracks towards the end. I gotta give you mad respect for putting that together and taking all that time to do that. You clearly put a lot of energy into it. Nice work!
