a) the house i like barely anyone likes in miami ( progressive house is my least favorite form of house. the dj has to be really good for me to listen to a purely progresive set.

aka..... digweed, satoshi tomiee etc i consider stellar progressive house djs

i like funky house with jazzy stuff in it. do i listen to it more than trance. without a doubt. do i like deep house more then trance at the moment. yes i do... do i hate trance . nope. and never will.

i agree with u damon on the fact that this board is not the same it was though.... when markus was down here with his residency (a residency i would love to see again soon, this board was at its peak.

but the reality of life is hes doing way better on tour and is more appreciated abroad then here.... )

a lot of people have changed their taste in music from trance to prog to whatver........

while others like koky and manny remain true to trance for hte most part (mmore so manny then even koky IMHO cuz koky knows oscar and ralph throw it down)

anyways prolly wont post on this board for another few weeks.

Since I started the scene in 99 it has been trance for me...in that time trance was massive and at that time it was different then now BUT many people go by PvD, Ti�sto, Armin and that's not what it's about like Damon said...how about the smaller producers who spend so much time making KILLER tunes...the bigger names just play it. Trance to so many may have died out but how about to the people who have a passion for it? Personally, I don't see it for the big names but for the smaller ones who make trance what it is. As time goes by everything evolves but it doesn't mean we have to follow the line and stop liking what we have for so long, I agree with things changing but I consider myself such a hardcore fan that I can't give up my roots...Not everyone may think this way and that is totally fine, afterall it is EDM and EDM is not only trance but this IS tranceaddict and don't forget why we all joined. So many people call trance "cheese" because of how it was a huge trend in 99 and such but look at things now, house has become just how trance was and now trance is more behind the scenes...I have faith in it coming back because trance DJ's continue to come out and trance producers continue to release music. If it was so dead it wouldn't keep coming out...trance is just not popular here in the states anymore...but ONLY in the states because if we were to go to Europe we know it's insane. I like prog. but I can never go crazy for it like trance because it is what drives me...trance is my religion. I feel that is has been undermined because of big DJ's going cheesy. I've been here for trance and it won't change...Anyway, we'll all see it bounce back...it's not dead, just here but not where it counts. I will continue to love trance because FOR ME there is nothing better. Big ups to the local trance DJ's out there who continue to believe in it...huge props to those few who still fight the odds.

TRANCE is and will always be the shit.
...no hating on prog or house in any way, we all have our different tastes but don't forget this is tranceaddict.com and at some point all those who don't follow it anymore DID like it and DID sign up for the same reason. TRANCE!

I usually only come to see what events are coming.Like Ferry on the 17th, Ill be there (or skim through a mel thread lol )
Ill always support trance, shit one of my fave DJs is still Acosta, he was the DJ that really got me into this whole trance scene in 99 seeing him at the Shadow Lounge,but of course I like Ferry alot more now and some other hard trance DJs.I really wish I could go out clubbin more than I do, going to work and school at the U kinda holds me back.

Or is it only because its a superstar Trance/house DJ, that only then will they go to extremes to drive down to hear them. Why don't our very own locals who spin the music we love or at least i love so much as trance get somewhat the same or even the littlest support from you guys?? So let me get this right, so you guys are not only pissed because Pink and Nacho post what ever they want even if it is not about the music and because people post threads about house and techno but you are also upset that I do not drive down to Miami, while I am listening to my house mix that you hate so much, to see your local DJs?!? When was the last time you came up here to see a resident DJ on a Thursday night?!? How about your DJs keep with the MUSIC theme and post some links to download sets so maybe I would know if they were worth making the 12 hour drive to see them!!! (Such as Matthias did in the TXTA forum and now I want to go see him when I go back to Texas.) I mean give me a break... How about ya'll talk among yourselves and figure out what it is that you want to complain about and put it in one post. Then I would not have to waste so much time reading ten pages of posts (speaking of wasting time on needless posts) about how you want to cry me a river.
