Any luck with the name of this track yet?

Posted by kerykeion on Jan-25-2003 05:09:

Hello,

Although I am new to this forum, I think I may have some good news to post.

I listened to the long sample posted (digweed-id.mp3) in this thread (thank you to whomever posted it) and the song that is being played is the third track on the album Red Zone by Robert Miles. It was released back in 1995 by DBX Records in Italy.

Now I do not have the record (vinyl) album that features this track with me right now, but I am nearly 100% sure that the song in the sample is either the original or a slightly modified remix.

I do not know what the title/name of the song is since it may not have one at all.

I hope this information was helpful.

Peace,

kerykeion

First of all thanks for your efforts!
Second of all, if you dont have the cd how can you be positive its his track, dont get me wrong I just want to be sure

Hello Scorchio,

I wanted to make some corrections and clarification to my original post but because the internet has not been working well lately, (is there some denial of service attack going on somewhere on the internet on port 1434?) I had trouble editing the post.

Anyway, I do not have a CD and where I said "...track three of Red Zone..." I really meant to say "Part 3".

Check out http://www.discogs.com/release/88184 for more information.

Also, my collection is kept in a safe place about 250 miles / 400 km from my place of study so the details that I can provide for now are all on the above site.

You may want to check out Roberto Milani's website at www.robert-miles.com. But it was down the last time I checked.

Peace,

kerykeion

More than 1 year after the thread was posted, this sample is finally nailed.I never thought I'd see that happen.Great work peeps, what a beautiful tune this is.Glad that you figured it out.Now the only problem remaining is to find the damn thing on vinyl

And of course: MASSIVE respect to Kerykeion for this vital piece of knowledgde.*applause*

Posted by THE_Chris on Jan-25-2003 23:51:

Its great to have a name for this track after all this time. And not just one year after the thread was posted.... but 7 years after the track was played.

And if anyone can find this thing on vinyl, I suggest leaving this thread unlocked (destickify it or whatever), so we know who to bug for a rip.

Cheers kerykeion - you're TA's hero ATM.

Posted by raver31 on Jan-26-2003 02:48:

wtf robert miles made this track? wow i never thought for a split second about that. if someone gets a full rip post this sucker

Posted by kerykeion on Jan-26-2003 07:26:

Thank you everyone. It makes me smile to see everyone so happy.

I am also glad to see that you can listen to a clip of this track on Roberto Milani's website: www.robert-miles.com. Click on discography, then the 2nd orange box right of 1995, and finally on B1. Part 3.

I honestly do not know if I have the album Red Zone myself because I have quite a number of vinyls in my collection (some go back to the 1970s). But if I do, it is very valuable to me--as are all of Robert Miles' older works from 1994 to 1996. Therefore, please do not ask me for this vinyl and/or for a full rip.

On another note, I am also seeking everyone to help me identify another "trance-like" song. I do not have a clip or sample of it, but I can try to upload a sequenced loop of the melody. Expect me to start a new thread in next few days.

Peace,

kerykeion
