Originally posted by Orko thats exactly how i feel. I had been in a relationship for 2 years, and now i have been out of a relationship for 2 years. Its a huge change, and one that is still odd. I am an independant person, but i would just like to find somebody i can be comfortable with. Somebody i can actually talk with, more than small talk. I havent met anybody like that, for a very long time.
^^ what's a semi-date, kris?
Single for most of my short lived life

Originally posted by kabelicious Exactly. Intelligent conversation, willingness to try new things, exploration tendencies, desire to have fun and laugh a lot.....these are hard things to come by. The number one thing that's hard to find? Independence in a committed relationship - being able to do your own thing without having to worry about the other person - aka trust. I've been mostly single my entire life but I've gone on many dates, and semi-dated many people. The key is never to look for it but just to go with the flow and sometimes, you bump into someone special. I am content with me more now than I have ever been in my entire life. I had an awesome semi-date last night though....too bad he's moving to Toronto with the rest of y'all!

Single, and loving it

Originally posted by Orko very hard to find. I love being on my own, and doing my own thing. I find most people when they think of a relationship, think of spending every momment what that person. There is no way i could do that. I think of a relationship, as the strongest kind of friendship. Not only do you have to be able to converse with that person, but you usually share something a little more ![]() But its honestly the conversation part i find hard to come by. I love deep, intellectual conversations. I met a girl last year, with whom i had a few great weekends with. She really challenged me to think in other ways, and was able to draw out some inner thoughts. Very interesting, but she lives in waterloo, so it never really worked out. The weekends when i visited her were great

Originally posted by kabelicious EXACTLY! I could never spend every living moment with another person - I like my independence and value it too much to give up. And it is a form of friendship - if it's not, it usually fizzles out after the honeymoon period. Someday, I will marry my best friend - that's my goal.

Yellow means Proceed With Caution (ie chat it up and well see)
Green means take me home
do it at an event, let eveyone know whos single and who is not and all that stuff. haha. PM me if someone wants to try this.
