LOL it's a constant state of missing something... sometimes... imo... i dunno. I just know I'm bored with it.

Its a huge change, and one that is still odd. I am an independant person, but i would just like to find somebody i can be comfortable with. Somebody i can actually talk with, more than small talk. I havent met anybody like that, for a very long time.

Exactly.

Intelligent conversation, willingness to try new things, exploration tendencies, desire to have fun and laugh a lot.....these are hard things to come by. The number one thing that's hard to find? Independence in a committed relationship - being able to do your own thing without having to worry about the other person - aka trust.

I've been mostly single my entire life but I've gone on many dates, and semi-dated many people. The key is never to look for it but just to go with the flow and sometimes, you bump into someone special. I am content with me more now than I have ever been in my entire life.

I had an awesome semi-date last night though....too bad he's moving to Toronto with the rest of y'all!

I think of it as where you meet someone but you're not sure if it's going to be a friendship or a romantic interest and that decides if you feel that way about someone.

Can take up to 2-3 semi-dates. But I would qualify it means doing something with only the other person - no friends involved.

very hard to find. I love being on my own, and doing my own thing. I find most people when they think of a relationship, think of spending every momment what that person. There is no way i could do that.

I think of a relationship, as the strongest kind of friendship. Not only do you have to be able to converse with that person, but you usually share something a little more

But its honestly the conversation part i find hard to come by. I love deep, intellectual conversations. I met a girl last year, with whom i had a few great weekends with. She really challenged me to think in other ways, and was able to draw out some inner thoughts. Very interesting, but she lives in waterloo, so it never really worked out. The weekends when i visited her were great

I agree with you....it is frustrating when all your friends are seeing someone. It's even worse when half of them are married and for some reason aren't allowed out anymore.

Hey now.... I'm allowed to do whatever I want.... I'm just too poor now due to the wedding!

a buddy of mine (the only one into EDM) got me back into the scene last summer. then he got married in january. ever since then, although he still shows up once in awhile, I always hear the "when you're married or have a g/f you'll understand talk" whenever I ask to come out to party

EXACTLY!

I could never spend every living moment with another person - I like my independence and value it too much to give up. And it is a form of friendship - if it's not, it usually fizzles out after the honeymoon period. Someday, I will marry my best friend - that's my goal.

You are one of the few.....once you are married you have certain obligations that you have to attend to.

TOTA should have a stoplight party. Everyone wears a wristband with the following colours:

Red means taken

Yellow means Proceed With Caution (ie chat it up and well see)

Green means take me home

do it at an event, let eveyone know whos single and who is not and all that stuff. haha. PM me if someone wants to try this.

I say we go for it. The Newfie club in Kitchener holds an event like that except they use different colour balloons
