rite, it depends on the mood when ure listening to it, and I gotta say that the track makes me sad too

Randy Katana - In Silence (Txitarro Remix) (the melody just hits me, one of the few where I coulda cried on the dancefloor, just beatiful)
Angelic - It's My Turn (Ariel Remix) (OH MAN, the best dark/sad trance track I own)
Transa - Enverate (that's a good call for those who mentioned it ahead of me)
Push - Strange World (2000 Remake) (Now that's T.R.A.N.C.E.)
Jono Grant vs. Darren Tate - Let the Light Shine In

Most Emotional track though... Pulser - Cloudwalking, Quote taken from AchillesB, hearing this track for the first time ever and having Tiesto on the decks in '01 at Wintergalactic, was one of the few times I felt true ecstacy, and refer to my comment to In Silence

Oh and how can I forget Firewall - Touched

Pulser - Cloudwalking and Firewall - Touched, sad tracks?

i disagree with all of those except maybe Let the light shine in.

Another kind of sad track is Kuffdam & Plant - Summer Dream, though im sure some people might disagree.

None of them are sad

Posted by isoterra on Aug-26-2005 13:44:

i'm really not getting most of these... summer dream sad?

it's probably already been mentioned but the one real 'sad'/melancholic trance piece i can think of is tiesto's mix of sarah mclachlan - sweet surrender. most 'emotional' music can swing either way depending on your state of mind & be considered both happy and sad; but songs like that have a distinct sombre/low-key feel to them which would be pretty hard to associate with any kind of euphoric feeling (imo)

Yea. I have that song on Trancemaster 4001 and the pitch is higher so you think the track is even happier.

Posted by mark_the_gooner on Aug-27-2005 13:19:

Summer Dream is partly sad, but partly happy.
Same as Nu-NRG - Le Mirage, its sad in the beginning then the melody becomes slightly more uplifting near the middle/end.
As with Progression - Ocean Green.

Another sad track: Dark Monks feat. Mim - Insane (a Moby - Go remake)

My favorite sad tracks:

Viton & Stel - Wooden Swordz
Flash Brothers - Deep Love
Lolo - Why
Deepsky Feat. Jes Brieden - Ghost

Posted by uzi on Aug-28-2005 00:17:

"sad trance"... is one of the main reasons melodic/uplifting trance is my favorite. so many producers like ferry, ronski, vincent, mike, signum, airbase, nickson, transa, tiesto, ralpie b, super 8, rank1, airwave and many more have given me goosebumps! so many tracks with different names from those guys...
---
dreas- sonic rush
i get so emotional from that track... tears and goosbumps...

eh come on... most of the tracks listed here are pretty party and fun... when I think of sad trance I think of trance with sad lyrics, not just any sad lyrics, but ones that are moving and make you feel like you're inside the predicament of the writer. For me the best "sad trance" song is...

Lustral - Broken

another good sad one...

Cynic Project (feat Jennifer Grimm) - After the Storm Part II (not the part I which is a happy Robert Milesy track)

Posted by R!CH on Aug-28-2005 07:15:

'lolo - elemental' is very sad/emotional

Posted by Iceferno on Aug-28-2005 15:20:

Armin Van Buuren (Ft. Ray Wilson) - Yet Another Day (Hiver & Hammer's Ground Control)

Posted by [CF]Icebreaker on Aug-29-2005 01:40:

Those Tracks below are very old but both a very sad!

L.S.G. - Hearts

Paul van Dyk - My World

No Lyrics in them but the Melodies make it....

Posted by d:rek on Aug-29-2005 05:52:

Delerium Feat. Jael - After All
That song has gotten me emotional since the first time I've ever heard it.
Specifically the Jaron Inc. Remix
Its on the Robert Gitelman set in the Live Sets section, sadly its unreleased (correct me if I'm wrong).
