not true southern blacks baptists voted for bush because of his conservative religious view (ie anti abortion, gay rights, and stem cell). not that this totally relates to the subject of the thread as far as letting them rot.

BUT :

IF YOU : were in the same situation ( stuck downtown New Orleans ) what would you do?

I was discussing that and my dad was like I'd just walk the hell outta there.

The problem with the way this is going right now is it's poorly organized and even if it had been done well from the start I'm sure it would still have been pretty slow to get everyone out..
