Let's hear it then
Very very curious, as I only heard the first 3 tracks.
Maybe it's within 'editing range' now, but if mr2gti wants to call on a substitute, I surely wouldn't mind; the more, the merrier

Sphere, thank you, man; I'm just beginning (not sure how much time and effort I'll put in making mixes in the future) and it's comments like yours that keep motivating me So thanks.

Feast your eyes on the little photoshop job I did for the mix....

If image does not display click HERE

The mix is sounding good guys! I just downloaded 'cd2pt14'. I also edited it cos for some reason it played part of the mix twice. After editing it came to 80:23 so I altered the sample rate and brought it down to 79:46 (if i did 79:59 i thought it would be a bit suspicious to a listener if he saw that it just exactly fitted on a CD).

mr2gti, shall I upload my final version of the mix?

Like I said I sorted the repeat problem out and got it under 80mins so I think I should upload my version...

Lens flare D:

No, seriously. Lens flare D:

The globe and text look spiffy, however!

Posted by Belgian Bonzai on Nov-09-2005 14:23:

Great job on that cover, love it

Posted by mr2gti on Nov-09-2005 18:11:

Ian^, a very noble comment.

If thats ok with you, then we'll go with the 14 DJ's.

I will download the final version, equalize it best I can, add a good ID3 tag and upload for the masses.

Loving the idea of the cover though, run with it

Posted by psylo on Nov-09-2005 20:28:

Thanks for the comments on the cover!

I've given mrlachatte a version of the cover with no lens flare but personally i think it looks much better with it.

When are we going to get a tracklist?
I may do a back cover as well so It'd be good to know all the tracks...

oh, here's an alternate cover...

....take your pick!

Posted by Inertia on Nov-10-2005 01:02:

a little suggestion for future occassions:

perhaps i'm not exactly getting how this works... but instead of having each DJ download the entire mix that has been recorded so far, why not just use a program to cut the mix in 2 parts:

a) the mix up until the last track that has been recorded
b) the last track recorded

that way, the DJ could just download that bit, mix it with something else, hand it in. whoever organizes this little event can then join part a with the newly recorded piece, and then repeat the process, till the mix is done.

just a thought. might speed up the process and allow DJs with not much bandwidth to participate easier.

...oh my god. That is goddamn awesome. You, sir, are a wonder.

the cover is great now im w8ing for our mix and of course for tracklist gogo

Posted by Creamfields23 on Nov-10-2005 10:38:

That second cover looks great! Good job.

On the other hand I think it would be cooler if you used locations of the "Dj's" instead of names of producers. The Locations would give more accent on the story behind this mix.

Just my thought!

Posted by Belgian Bonzai on Nov-10-2005 16:46:

Woooooow, that second cover kicks royal ass!
Yeah, go for a back cover please. If you go for the ^ option, I'm from Belgium

Posted by psylo on Nov-10-2005 21:47:

So we'll use the second cover then as we think it looks better, the back cover I'm working on also compliments it nicely. Along with the track used, I'll put each DJ name as well as a little pic of the flag from where they come from on the back cover. It should turn out great.

Uncle Montana's 'location' is Sweden but has a Syrian flag next to his avatar... I will go with Sweden as that is more likely than Syria but correct me if I'm wrong...

Also correct me if I'm wrong on the following DJ names/countries please...!

1..Sand Leaper ---NORWAY
2..DJ Koolaide ---U.S.A
3..Belgian Bonzai ---BELGIUM
4..DJ Metatron ---U.S.A
5..Haak ---NORWAY
6..Psylo ---U.K
7..RX ---U.K
8..XDR ---NETHERLANDS
9..vA|sYn[D]rOm ---POLAND
10.Evelon ---U.S.A
11.DJ Sphere ---ROMANIA
12.Uncle Montana ---SWEDEN
13.Stevieboy32808 ---U.S.A
14.Creamfields23 ---NETHERLANDS

well i've made something like that

Posted by stevieboy32808 on Nov-11-2005 13:34:

Wow that's a hell of a cover syndrom. You should save that for cd 3 of the global excursion series.

Posted by vA|sYn[D]rOm on Nov-11-2005 14:50:

and another 2 covers

Posted by psylo on Nov-11-2005 15:16:

Nice covers!

you should save them for volume 3,4,5 etc. as I've already done one this time... here's a sneak preview of the back cover I'm working on. I still need a tracklist though as I'm not sure of some of the tracks.

Posted by vA|sYn[D]rOm on Nov-11-2005 15:39:

ya sure i have projects on my hdd in psd files

cover is great but you should move up flags near to RX,XDR, and my name it's just a little tip
now we're w8ing for official release i think
