had it hidden in a small inside pocket in my jacket. I got patted down pretty good but security missed that part

apparently it was easy to bring cameras inside.

thanks for the pix man!
hope i have a chance to upload my pics tomorrow.
they didn't really check for camaras so it was easy to get it in. i had mine in my bag, the security guy took it out of the camara pocket and put it back in the bag... was no problem...

glad to hear a steep majority of the fellow TAs had a great time last night. Apparantly I, alongside with Mamii, was part of the hundreds stranded outside the club who were not allowed in because of the overcapacity limit deemed by the FDNY Battalion Chief. There were complications of many sorts, which led to a delay, which in return led to the exclusion of entering the building.. all to enjoy MY number one favourite Dj, Paul van Dyk.

I was looking SO forward to November 11, 2005. I remember in the months prior to this date, I was downloading so many Live Dj Sets from Paul... and to find out he was coming back to NYC.. and BACK TO ROXY?? God I was SO EXCITED! and look what happened? It's such a bummer, it really is. Looking at all the pics, seeing a bit of the tracklisting and I knew I missed a night that wouldv'e left enjoyous memories.

Rather instead I'm scarred with the fact how poorly this event was managed in terms of ticket-sales to cover sales. Obviously this isn't DANCE VALLEY or LOVEPARADE and there are limitations to the amount of occupants allowed in a venue in a metropolitan area. Clearly ticket-holders should have been credited with priority entrance, simply the fact they have purchased advance tickets... and the intent to purchase advance tickets is to reserve right-of-entry. Cover sales in my personal opinion should have been waived, if not limited to. Clearly the amount of advance tickets should or already has been reflected to be on or about the same amount of occupants allowed in the subject venue.

Looks like I'm venting here huh? Anyways, glad that everyone had fun. Wish I was able to post a more "happier" post and share my two cents on last night's event.

PvD, you rock!

Add these to the tracklist

The Light - Expand the Room

Mike Kogin - 1 To 1 Point 618

WOW

It was a truly massive night! Bonham played beautifully. PvD - probably the best set I've heard him spin. I liked the 1st 3 hours better because he was playing the newer stuff and was a bit eclectic. I had the warm and fuzzies to party it up with friends from both NYC and Toronto! Daniella, you missed probably the best trance night this year with possible exception to the first Armin performance at Spirit that was broadcasted on di.fm. LOSER!

I dont know if Im gonna be able to enjoy PVD in any other venue. Roxy is the perfect club for Paul and his crowd, and it will soon no longer be with us.

Word is that this NYC institution has been sold and is going to be demolished soon. That place has been around so long that our parents probably spilled their cocaine all over that dancefloor and got their spunk all over the bathroom stalls.

Condo's, condo's, condo's

man that blows, i'm real glad i got their in time to get in

Note to Made:
I've been a fan of Made for a while now because they've been pulling in some pretty good talent but this is really unacceptable. If you pull this shit again and you're going to have a lawsuit on your hands. New Yorker's aren't really fond of being fucked.

Who is gonna sue them, and who is going to gain anything from them - if they refund those people their money?

when you tend to piss people off repeatedly, they become alot more motivated.

i hope they aren't closing roxy!

purely emotional set!

that was my first time there and i had soooo much fun... it's an amazing place to see pvd!.. i think this was wayyyy better than summerstage this year. i don't know how some of you don't have ringing in your ears... the sound system was amazing.. but i was standing in front row his whole set, when i got out of the club my ears were ringing sooo badly, now they're better but i still hear it... maybe it will go away in two days. what's wierd is i couldn't see which speakers were causing it... it may have been the tweaker directly above me, but i feel it was more the speakers facing me from the booth... but that makes me wonder if pvd wasn't hearing the same volume.

anyway... his set was soooo awesome... i'll have my pics uploaded in a few days.. i hope they come out good... i literally had to stop taking pictures of him smiling in my direction because I would run out of film.

I think the best part of the night was when I pulled my thank you poster out and he said "no, thank you", or shaking his hand at the end, or maybe when he saw i knew the song and he smiled and we fed off each other to that song, or maybe when..... the list goes on and on.

thanks so much to all those people who know how not to invade other peoples personal space in a club.

and i know i'll see some of those trancer's from the front row again.. i've partied next to you guys at summerstage, and armin@crobar.

and thanks pvd! you rock!

Im sorry, but no (keyword) clubber is gonna sue made events...

1. its not worth it over a $40 ticket.
2. the cost of representation in court.

Posted by pyro264jb on Nov-13-2005 08:19:

Gaia 4 elements?? I think he played that also

Posted by Miss Bliss on Nov-13-2005 12:25:

Not a fan of PVD anymore, but I gotta admit he played all the tracks I love!! Glad you all had fun, looking at the pics makes me miss you!!

It really wouldn't surprise me if someone actually did sue over this. Remember, we are living in the land of lawsuits

A celebrity definitely would. Imagine Paris Hilton being denied admission ? I bet she would have a fit and sue Made. Prob. get a show and a book deal on it.

Posted by Sprowt on Nov-13-2005 17:21:

it was one of those nights where nothing went wrong... got a ride, easy free parking, NO LINE, not AS crowded as we expected... saw many surprise faces, met some more new ppl, bumped into some old school ppl... and of course, pvd's set...

he also dropped Coast2Coast Cut Me but Luminary Amsterdam was the highlight for me

Posted by reddog4063 on Nov-13-2005 17:31:

All i have to say is WOW! If you were there you understand. I got to tell him after the set that he kicked my ass, that was cool. Great seeing all of you guys out...met Groundhog Boy and Yankeebaby, and Mike (not sure of your ta name...) and of course all of the regulars!!
