The White House was burned down in 1814, first of all. Second of all, no one really gave too much of a fuck. the US forces burned apart York, present day...Toronto . Then, the British Forces thought that it would have the same effect to torch the White House and the Capitol building, which had little DESIRED effect.

Only a few months after did the US declare victory ratifying the Treaty of Grant

Tell that to the veterans who served our country with their own sweat, blood and tears.

I think an attack on Cuba would be nice. We already have a base of operations, with most of the Atlantic fleet there, it would probably only take a day or so.

**in a whisper**
Pssst...the real reason is, I want to find a mint condition 57' Chevy or an old Thunderbird. Cuba is LOADED with mint classic cars!

We are not modern colonialists. THat is why i am proud of this country. We care for our people first. Our government doesnt spend our hard earned cash and dump it into 500 billion dollar wars taht end up like a second vietnam.

No, instead we find the government squanders $500 Billion dollars of taxpayers hard earned money and people give some chickenshit exuse about not voting them out in the next federal election...

Our government doesn't care about us, they care about themselves...(they certainly don't spend it to help with any world military commitments)

And oh yea, we don't solve problems, we keep them at 'status quo', solving nothing because as Canadians, heaven help us if we rock the boat to an actual conclusion to any world situation...

Let's just suck the taxpayers dry paying for U.N. guards for years and years (Cyprus anyone??)

I think you have made a point that is becoming more "universal".

I don't think there is a government in existence that is not corrupt at some level. It seems that the nature of the "public servant" has turned to greed and power, with the "public" footing the bill. I don't know of any government that really has made the common man's life any easier.

I think the "average" person, in any country, really just wants to go about their day-to-day business and make the best life possible for themselves. If you look at polls, in the US, people are more concerned with taxes and government spending than waging war.

you took the words out of my mouth.

And Firestarter... the liberals have been in power for 12 years.. and our economy has been better like never before.. even with this scandal.

I dont want another fuk head like mulroney coming in power.

yeah, my currency exchange rate shows your prosperity...

Can't even get a cheap Canadian "lap dance" anymore, I wave an American dollar, and the stripper laughs

...it used to be about 35%, in my favor, now 18% or less.

And that somehow makes things all ok??

That's some pretty creative reasoning...

That's too bad.
I guess being hardline liberal and not being able to see both sides of an arguement must be difficult.
I suppose you're going to vote in the corrupt government back in too huh?
Only idiots would vote a documented corrupt governemnt back in power...

How come you are blaming the actions of what people did in the past to the current people in power?

Jean Chretien isnt our leader anymore. He was in power during this corruption

US is shit scared of China, it can only attack small, weak and crippled countries like Afganistan, Iraq, Libia etc. And is it.

They dont have guts or ass to attack China. Because they know China will wipe their history off from planet Earth if US attacks them.

You are completely idiodic.

China and USA cant fight a war, because they'd have to nuke eachother, dipshit. Also China and USA cant fight a war, because Americans are buying all the Chinese shit and Chinese are making all the shit.

COUNTRIES WITH NUKES CANT FIGHT EACHOTHER.

So yes your brilliant point about Americans only attacking weak countries is right because weak countries dont have nukes, or any weapon capable of hitting USA mainland.

Whoever you are, you need to stop the country penis size comparisson because its not how things are done anymore... It's all about economy and on that playingfield the Chinese will INDEED surpass the Americans, but will they become a huge super power? Maybe, but it has never been Chinese police to busy itself in other people's affairs, therefore I cant see them becoming the next Americans even if they have lots of power.

North Korea got nukes too.

And mind your language; its not countries fighting each other, its one big powerful country (USA) raping other small weak country (Iraq).

Yea, cause Martin is SUCH an angel...
He was the finance minister during Chretien's reign.
I refuse to believe as the finance minister he didn't know where 100s of millions of dollars was going....
Yea right...

Oh lord...blah,blah,blah

Please define "rape"

If you "rape" someone you are taking something of value by force.

What are we taking? I sure don't see a change at the gas pump, because the only thing of value, that Iraq has, is oil.

...and anyways, the strong will always "beat" on the weak, you can't escape nature. (...and don't give me that "but we're human beings "

We are just an animal that had a high fat diet and got a more developed brain.

Finally, if the Iraqis really wanted to win, they would have fought harder
