#1 this feeling you get from the night is all your fault...
#2 you gots ta know you never ever bring an ex to any place where intoxicants are concerned, whether they are female or male, b/c booze or drugs make ex's want to get u jealous.
#3 the only reason i feel bad for you is the fact that you had to share such a sad story to an internet forum...your friends whom know you the best would be better shoulders to lean on and would give you better advice...after all they know you inside and out..

sorry if my analysis is harsh, but its the truth

sincerely,

i went to a party with my ex boyfriend a couple weeks after we broke up, tried to be friends and go out and party...well didnt exactly work out so well. We started screaming at eachother right when u walk into system sound bar and made a huge scene and i started crying, so we decided to go outside and "talk". Ya more like scream in eachothers face, even the bouncer came over to see if we were ok. WE did end up calming down and going back into the club, but wasnt a very good night. Really embarassing (i hate crying in front of ppl, especially in front of soo00oo many ppl), but ah well. IT is hard trying to go out and do things with ur ex because something always seems to happenes that will piss the other one off. Ive come to realize TIME IS KEY!! gotta let eachother cool off for a while, this happened maybe end-middle of augest and only now is my ex and i starting to get on better terms....but ah well i have the greatest guy ever now..petty*kiss*

because you speak to others in a very condescending manner. whether you mean to or not, you do. you dish, so learn to take

This is the kicker and perhaps your death knell. Too many of my friends have tried to be "friends" after breakups, and it only leads to them being put through hell. Let go.

A good example of this is one of my friends Mike. His girlfriend broke up with him because she needed "space," and he's taking it like a huge huge huge pussy. He can't deal with the fact still, even months later. He still talks to her often, thinking they'll get back together or still be "good friends." After over 3 years for them, it's just not gonna happen.

he needs to tell her to get her crap out of his place and put her on callblock

bah! heartless!
Just out of curiosity, Is keeping a guy in "non-bf" status considered heartless?? LOL!!!

ps. Hi Chris!

edit: for the record, I agree with severing ties with exes if keeping in touch is going to have a negative impact on you, hinder you from being able to move on and get over the other person or be on your own again. I havent been paying attention to this thread too much, so depending on how close you were, and how long together (even though sometimes that doesnt even matter) severing all ties is usually the best idea, but not always.

The truth!?!? HAHAHA, Well shit Dr. Phil, what took you so long to answer? If I ever have something to bitch about again, I'll make sure I run it by you first. I'd like to think there were more intelligent people in here than the CORe

Kelly, thanks for the sweet words it's Kris btw
Spitty, I did leave her alone at the club. I was avoiding her for the most night. Maybe that's what she was pissed about?!?! but she said she was ok with that.

People calling me kid... I probably got atleast 5 years on most people here. It's not like I'm pouring my heart out here. It's a topic of conversation. And apparently a good one. Minus the afore mentioned intelligence.

PRO TIP: IN SITUATIONS LIKE THIS WHEN THEY SAY THEY'RE OKAY IT MEANS THEY AREN'T

The best part is, when you call them on it and try to talk it out with them, they keep insisting there's nothing wrong! Gee golly gophers folks I just love that part.

If I had a penny for every time...

You know what...i wanted to give you some serious and sincere advice about what happened, because to bring this topic up in a forum, it must have seriously shaken u up. Tried to be nice, but since you're such a douchebag, i think i'll give the unedited version. #1--you're pathetic for relying on a group of mostly strangers for advice on your lovelife(or lack thereof after your fun night saturday).#2--you deserve all the heartache and BS that goes along with this scenario because you were too much of a bitch to have some self respect and ditch your ex the moment she started to brainfuck you by handing out numbers like it was candy. #3--WTF were you thinking...lose her #, don't call her no matter how much you want to, and I know you do. b/c the moment you call her she'll realize what a puss you are and she'll remember why she dropped your ass in the first place...and finally #4--you can call me Dr. Phil all you want, but at the end of the night I can rest easy knowing that if I ever have any real problems, I have a whole list of friends I can call to vent to; not a group of random music lovers on an internet forum.

my diagnosis= you're pathetic...

not to be an asshole...but...screw her best friend...slap the bitch out and then let her see your ghetto side...

Right on! Guys need to understand the terminology used:

When you ask how it's going:
- "Good" = A-OK
- "Fine" = Not fine
- "Okay" = Big trouble
- "Not great" = tantrum imminent

And when you ask what's wrong:
- Silence + Confused look = Nothing's wrong
- Silence + Blank look = You know what's wrong
- "Don't worry about it" = Start worrying about it
- "Nothing's wrong" = Everything is wrong
- Silence + Angry look = Take cover, she's gonna blow!

You know it's true girls.

True in ALL cases.

Come on Kelly, guys are more perceptive than a lot of you gals give us credit for! We know you don't like giving away your system, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the mood translations.

Mortyman: OK yeah, some people are harsh, but I think what people were trying to say before things got tense was that you need to be a little tougher with her, especially if you plan in getting over her. She is takin you for a ride. No, I don't think you should have abandoned her, but I do think you shouldn't be hanging out with her in the first place...give it time, a week is not enough to have a healthy friendship.

diginut: I would have to agree with this statement. I don't know you from a hole in the wall, but you really get worked up about a lotta shit. Are you bitter? LOL
