I've only heard the samples, but I love having opinions that differ from "everybody else" yes.

But seriously, judging from the samples it sounds like perfectly ordinary trance.

the thing is, you makeup stupid opinions because you like being different. I'm different in many ways but that's simply because I don't follow hype or whatever, I like something on what it is, not who made it & how cool he may or may not be. That makes me unlike al ot of this forum & I take stick for it, but i never dislike something just because everyone else is liking it. That's what makes you come across as a jackass, saying things only because it's the opposite to others, that doesn't make you a "trancecritic" it makes you a jackass

I don't choose opinions depending on others. I just like when they differ.

I didn't mean ordinary as in generic. I meant it as "meh, decent, but nothing special".

And now stop the fanboying which you seem to hate so much in others. Try to keep the topic on topic.

well I think the reason most people who heard this album love it is because most other stuff released nowadays is so crap.

Posted by Massive on Mar-23-2006 15:39:

I want to hear it! hurry!

That does make sense, actually.

That's pretty much what i believe is the most reasonable answer. I don't like most of the new trance released today but the DB tracks i've heard from the album so far sound pretty damn good to me.

As what have been said, welcome Oliver and hope you enjoy your stay here in the mental institute for the trance(and whatever else electronic genre)heads.

You can count me in as a long time fan too, been following your musical journey ever since the early 90s. *Feels like a teen groupie now*

i feel like a schoolgirl, weak at the knees, damp in other places. People at times get a lot of star worship, but there are very few who really deserve it. For everything you've done for trance, techno & the lush beautiful film-scapes, thanks man, we all appreciate it

Posted by [ groovypants ] on Mar-24-2006 10:22:

hehehehehe

So Mr Lieb, I take it that you [as with many of the iPool bastards] have listened to the Synthology album. How about a little review... any particular fav. tracks?

Posted by The Little Brat on Mar-24-2006 17:01:

This release was very well put together. Riki Smith has really outdone himself and I think it is highly unlikely that anyone will release an album this year that will surpass this one, Synthology is pure class. My personal favorite productions were Tronika and Cyan and Casca. I am very happy to see that there are young producers out here who are not afraid to take a different approach when it comes to putting together a trance release. I would highly recommend purchasing Synthology because of the quality tracks and it is trance to the highest level. Synthology should surely become a future classic.

And thank you Ian, Rebel9, zoric, grimreaper and the rest of you for the very kind words and I was moved by the genuine respect and love that you guys have for EDM. I am honored to be part of this board and even though I am getting old, it's people like you that keep me young in heart and spirit.

Posted by Cobalt on Mar-24-2006 17:16:

Could it really be the Oliver Lieb?

I don't even know where to begin with fanboy antics.

Posted by keithos27 on Mar-24-2006 17:23:

lol... maybe someone should make a new post regarding oliver so that it doesnt detract from the greatness of this upcoming digital blonde album...

welcome oliver... cool to hear your opinions on the upcoming album... they definitely carry more weight than some of the other user's on this board... enjoy your stay

now where is riki to comment?

Posted by GrimReaper on Mar-24-2006 17:59:

I wish it would be next month already so we non iPoolers would get our hands on all the Synthology tracks too.

Don't wanna start a scene but disagree on this one

all due respect to oliver, he's a living legend of EDM, but I don't see why his opinion should be worth more than the opinion of someone else just because he is a producer
