Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet, Im down to go to both games.

Im looking on eBay, and there are a bunch of tickets being sold for the Red Sox vs. Yankees - some in pairs, some in 4-6 in a row. Ranging from like $75 per to like $250 per.

And in the process of looking for tickets, I found someone selling a pair of season tickets about 10 rows back from 1st base for 3 grand - shit, if I had the cash, I would buy them - and on top of that Id try to convince the guy to sign over that pair of seats to me in the process.

Crazy Mets game tonight. I think that every game with the Nationals is going to be an interesting one after this series. 5 HBP today! And last year the mets hit Guillen a lot... now twice today.

HOK Sport did the design for the new Mets ballpark. They also had a hand with designing Comerica park since it was a joint venture with SHG Inc

my two cents on ballparks

1. rfk stadium is surprising not that bad place to watch a game. Yeah, it's a cookie cutter bowl, but it's very intimate (only two tiers) plus a great fan base means a good vibe while watching a game.

2. one of the best sections to sit in all of sports has to be section 39 at yankee stadium with the bleacher creatures. The sarcasm, chants, songs and hate for the box seats that come from here makes watching a game very enjoyable. Also can't beat quick access to the subways after the games are done

3. if you're a baseball fan, you have to visit pnc park in pittsburgh. Definitely the best park I've visited. The intimate settintg combined with seeing the roberto clemente bridge and the pittsburgh skyline makes it an absolute treat to watch a game.

Ill never forget one day in the bleachers with about 6 or 7 of my friends, went to some random game - I think it was tampa bay, and we were sitting practically dead center, right behind Bernie.

I dont remember who was playing CF for Tampa at the time, this was like 5... 6 years ago - we starting yelling at him, chanting his name from the 1st thru the 5th inning or so... when he came out for the 6th, he moved to Right/Center for the rest of the game cause he couldnt stand the heckling, lol. On the other hand, every time Bernie came out we would chant his name, and he'd give us a nice wave, say whats up and play some ball!

What do you guys think, if they build a new Yankees stadium... do you think they will use parts from the original stadium? i.e. the white fence they have behind the bleachers.

Not only will the new house retain the feel of the current ballpark with identical field dimensions and bullpen placements, but many planned features will actually recapture some of the original features eradicated by the extensive renovation that was done on the old stadium from 1973-75.

"We lost many of the great characteristics of the original house," Levine said. "The new stadium will take us back to our origins. This isn't the end of the legacy, but a continuation."

Among those features will be the exterior, a structure separate from the rest of the ballpark that will resemble the exterior of the original stadium.

I dont see the white fence in those pics... that white fence is one of the staples of yankees stadium.

it'll be on the stadium roof, just like in pre 1970s stadium

monument park moved into new stadium

existing field will be made for public use, including some sections of the field level seats. they're knocking down most of the top portions.

tearing down Yankee Stadium is like tearing down the Collosium...disgrace.

at least decrepit shea's replacement will hark back to ebbett's field -- brooklyn ftw

the yankees plan was similar to the plan the red sox owners (the yawkey family I think owned at that time) had in the late 1990s....preserve the original field and build a new ballpark that's an improved version of the original next door

two things currently happening that are not often seen at the same time:
Mets in first place in the NL East
Yankees in last place in the AL East
