On Saturday night, I was really looking forward to go out and partying with my friends. It had been a while since I had last gone out, and I really needed it. Since I am only 20, I knew that I might have trouble getting in, so I came in with five girls (I was the only guy amongst this group). I get to the front of the line, and noticed that the five people in front of me didn't get their IDs checked. It was just my luck that he decided to check mine. He then pushed me out of line and said "Sorry, you are too young." Some of the girls I was with tried to speak up for me, to which he replied. "It is 21+. No exceptions." Too bad I know of 3 other girls in front of me who were under 21 and got in. 
Considering the amount of time and money I've put into this scene over the years, it is very dissapointing that I am not allowed in because of my age. It is patrons like me who they need in the club: people who come back and spend money week after week. Not people who go to TiL because it new and cool. Guess what? It's not going to be long before it's not so cool and new anymore. Then what?
To all the people say that I shouldn't be dissapointed because I should have expected it - what would you have me do? All of my friends were going, and I've been let into before. Do I not have the right to be dissapointed about this? Is the solution to go to other clubs that will let me in by myself? You don't know what to expect at TiL. The door policy at TiL is by far the worst door policy I've ever encountered in this city. It completely varies from week to week.
Even though some of my favourite DJs will probably be booked at TiL, I can't really see myself supporting a club that discriminates based on age.
