What were the highlights of that set then?

hahaha yeah.....i was at dance valley last year and it pretty much rained heavily on and off the whole weekend......but it still fucking brilliant.....it just made it more fun and more of challenge......i was just happy i was going back to amsterdam after.haha

clarification on train situation?

Hey UK TAs...
I'm in Oxford for the next two weeks and considering my options at the moment. I really want to make it out to this and have been planning on it for awhile. I read earlier posts about train interruptions that weekend.

****First, will there really be train delays or stoppages that weekend? I need to get to Gatwick Airport by noon on Sunday.

****Second, if there are delays and what not, does anyone have a brilliant idea in regards to how I would make it out to Gatwick from the festival in time?

Okay, just wondering. Let me know your ideas...thanks.

Dublies, you are really pushing it trying to get back to gatwick by mid-day. Im leaving on holiday from gatwick at 6pm and thought that was a bit tight

Only thing I can think of is to hire a car in oxford for the weekend and drop it off at gatwick.

global is on top of completely flat hill, used to be an airport.

first train to Oxford on the sunday is 07.50, if you get on this train and there are no delays then you should make it to Gatwick for noon. Prob have to get to the station early to be able to get on this train tho.

Cool cant wait. Came to the UK looking to get to some of these massive festivals and this one looks like one of the best.

Just wondering if there are any others leaving from London with 2 spare seats in their car?

Aparently the trains are all booked out and the later you leave it the more expensive it gets.

Waited on some friends who have now bailed (we were going to hire a car) so we are left out in the cold a bit.

is there any car pooling websites i might be able to check for spare seats?

what's going on with PVD? how come he's not playing in GG... they didn't pay him on time

I have no idea what is going on with pVd. I'm sure its nothing serious. Global Gathering is too large of a production for them not to confirm the artists before actually signing the contract. If he doesn't show, I'm sure there must be a solid reason, something other than money.

On a higher note, I bought my ticket! I also bought my ticket to Gatwick on Sunday. I hope it is not to hard to go from the campsite to the train station. Any guesses on how long that should take? My train is at 7 something in the morning. If anyone can fill in for the guy at HMV in Oxford, please let him know, he wants to go to the festival.

Will the UKTAs be camp villaging it somewhere in particular? Or is anybody from the states planning on making it out there? I love my broken spanish, but I cannot communicate effectively with anybody else really so I plan on hanging with some english speakers for awhile.

Anyways, I'll be there the whole weekend. Then its back to the Midwest for me. Detroit and then Chicago (my new home). Peace:.

Lets hope so. Last year Halliwell decided to scratch for his whole set which at 4am ain't the best thing to hear. The atmosphere just died because of it. I havent heard a good finishing set at a festival for years lets hope there is one next week what with the Judge and Fergie playing earlier.

a mate of mine informs me mark eteson will be on last with jon o'bir opening. i do however personally believe/hope this is a steaming pile of bollocks & his source has their wires crossed

Body: So, it's time for the biggest festival ever! This weekend Fri 28th - Sat 29th July, the mighty Godskitchen are taking over Long Marston Airfield in Stratford-Upon-Avon for what is set to be the most incredible weekend extravaganza :-)

100's of artists have been booked to play over the two day event, which includes a climbing wall, an outdoor cinema, jacuzzi's, a mini strip club tent, as well as the usual marquee's with everyone from PvD, Daft Punk, Tiesto, Groove Armada, Pete Tong, Judge Jules and more.


I'm closing the main Godskitchen Arena at 4.30-6am on the Saturday! So if you can come along and say hi that'd be great!!

yeah i dunno why the fuck they chose him to close (with an hour and a half too?? jules only ever got the hour) when he's barely heard of outside the gods regulars & it's his first ever big festival. especially after lumping their most popular & vastly superior resident in the opening slot

plus i saw eteson do closing set once before and thought he sucked.. really boring tune selection

PVD goes from 1:30 - 3:30 .. then I wonder who's from 3:30 to 4:30 .. i hope they ddont give Armin just 1 hour.. it's not fair ....

please provide timeslots on friday ..PLEASE PLEASE ....

i'd place a fairly safe bet on eddie halliwell for that slot

if you compare the number of DJs with the total duration, it works out they can give out 5 hour & a half slots (assuming pvd plays the 2) with the rest playing an hour. eteson has one, i know a&b have one, i'd assume ferry, armin & oakenfold would have the 3 others

no way in hell would armin only play an hour.. despite not being as globally popular as pvd he's pretty much godskitchen's #1 dj
