I can tolerate and even listen to and enjoy trance, but one thing is for sure, I can't do trance parties anymore. House parties provide what I'm looking for in a party.

these are my favourite comments!

on a side note, even tho it's not related to edm, i would just like to add that jazz music has no feeling whatsoever...it's boring and repetitive.

alright i cant hold back but call u ignorant if u call jazz repetitive. Jazz is based around impromptu riffs and all about the moods and feelings of the artist/band members

i'm sure many of you, as I finally have, will have your eye's opened to the fact that house is a far more evolved genre of EDM than trance is.

Posted by Endlesswave on Apr-06-2006 19:22:

I'm with Del and DigitalMP on this. Also some others have said just because you don't understand a type of music does not mean it's shit. I used to think house was "boring" and "repetative" but have long since seen the light and there is some QUALITY stuff out there for house (hell for any genre, trance, techno, dnb, anything).

thats a pretty weak argument.

Oh, and as for seeing the light: totally true. It takes time to learn and appreciate certain genres.

Another fruitless thread.

Quick, pics of hot girls (or guys if you prefer) to give this thread some value.

speaking of "seeing the light" though; i'm really getting into the more minimal side of techno lately.

That DE9 Transitions DVD by Hawtin is mind-boggling

like i said i hope nobody took this thread too seriously as it wasn't a serious statement that house is better than trance because there are more events.

you're completely spot on when you say that the site serves the entire EDM community though.
