Never in my life have I come across such bullshit.

Forget about desyn, he's not worth anything to montreal, although his "public statement" was convincing (not). Even if he was to come around in the far future, these cancellation reminders will always come back.

Dirtycrew might throw good parties, however after this unfortunate event I would have to say that I'll have to think twice about whether their next booking will come through. It is after all inevitable. You'll have to do alot more to improve your impressions, but count me out for a while.

thats a little harsh,

thats a little harsh bro,

come on moeva (aint gonna come out and support ME :P) and tony next week LOL i know you got finals and all but the next couple of bookings are gonna be heavy.

p.s the dirtycrew has nothing to blamed for on this one bruv shit happens and indeed desyn is not doing his dates (they have completely been scrapped he did not do new york at crobar last night either :S the man is a mess and needs to recover) cuz the fact of the matter is he is one of the busiest djs out there right now

anywho hit me when the finals are done so we get some studio work done

cheers
maher

Ultra pissed that Desyn didn't show.

Taha calls me and says forget it stop everything.

Erika cries.

And will never trust DirtyMTL again.

guys.. I was just talking to a friend from the Netherlands and he cancelled his gig in Amsterdam next weekend as well. He has since cancelled all further and future gigs until otherwise noted.

Exhaustion must have caught up with him.. working himself too hard travelling around the world.

Actually this is the second time i said I wasn't gonna make it for Desyn, and the second time he cancelled. It's why im not going crazy with anger, but I understand every single TA here that's pissed. Just imagine it. Desyn is among the favorites for a lot of these people and his sets have been fire recently, and he chokes Montreal...twice.

Dirty will have to work hard to regain the trust, understandable but
I'm with all-nite; my respect for Masielo has gone waaaaaaaay down.

'chronic with exhaustion' :LMAO... it's called DJ's life buddy, y do you think you're so rich?

i dont think we need to explain ourselves more, if people wanna be imature about it thats fine, it just shows the kind of respect they have for the people out there trying to provide them with quality events.

Oh well

dj's are only human too guys.. yes they make money doing what they do, but look at their schedules.. they are not machines.. they need a break too and when pushed too hard.. this is what is going to happen to them.

I know you guys are pissed cuz he missed his gig twice.. but look.. no one else is getting to see him either.. you should be hoping he gets better instead.

Rather than go about this reply by myself, I have decided to call up my good friend Mr. Poirot for some classic investigating. Here are my results.

Verifying Mr. Masiello's website, there are no bookings from the 17th to the 20th of April, as shown in Figure A.

(Figure A)

Looking at my trusty Windows XP SP2 calendar, featured in my beloved Taskbar.exe (stock) we can clearly see that Mr. Masiello took a 4 day break (17, 18, 19 and 20). Figure B shows this:

(Figure B)

Clearly, four (4) full days of not playing at an event makes Mr. Masiello extremely exhausted.

After several months of analyzing specimens from the Amazon jungle, reading various journals from the scientific community, sending a space probe to planet Mars and consulting with my fellow collegues back at the lab, we have concluded that DirtyMontreal never had the booking with Mr. Masiello to begin with. Mystery solved.

where is the love ppl?

i say every1 relax, and give the dirty crew a break. at least they're trying to put together some good nights. I dont think u guys realize how hard it is to book these dj's. Give credit for trying. Maybe it is a big big coincidence that he didnt show twice in MTL. Stereo's promoters arent known for trying to scavange ppl's money and although i dont know dirtymontreal, maher, etc. im pretty sure they werent trying to pull a fast one on ppl. relax, im sure desyn will be back. shit happens, forgive and forget.

Dirty Crew: it sucks for any company's image to have a screw up (even if it wasnt their fault). im sure you will bb hard in the future. good luck.

Isn't Desyn supposed to be like the really chill guy of the industry and not Lawler-ish?

ouch...

so I guess

That we forged the apology from Des' management and this was a really elaborate scheme to lure everyone down to promote the opening DJ. See you at Sander.

my friend you have way to much time on your hands anyone and everyone who is experianced in this industry such as dirty will not selflessly promote a name in order to have people come to there parties. my advice to you (even though you have a fantastic imagination) is to think before you type bruv it just might make you look silly

thats my 2 cents

cheers

You know, I wasn't going to reply to this post, since I usually let go these types of comments, but I couldn't help myself. I want to give you a few pointers next time on how to handle criticism on forums and perhaps act a bit more professional (the latter comment applies mostly to dirtymontreal).

1) If you fuck up, apologize, even if it's out of your league. People paid good money to come see your show, and some planned their whole weekend around your event. I don't care if Masiello had diarrhea on the plane or somehow disappeared into another dimension, it's still your duty to take responsibility. It is YOUR image at stake here. Masiello will play again next time around, but at this point some people here have lost respect for him regardless.

2) Do not take criticism off forums so religiously. The way dirtymontreal reacted to some comments on these forums is childish at best. Make a statement and move on. Starting a flame war on a forum shows how unprofessional you are at handling situations of these sort. You're lucky, since the moderator of these boards decided to act on your favour and remove that thread.

3) I've been in the EDM scene for a while now and I've seen this shit happen on several occasions. People will still get angry, it's not easy to forget. A few weeks ago, I paid 15$ to see Lee Burridge and he didn't even show up at Aria. That can mean several things here, and I'll leave that up to your imagination.

4) Proper spelling, punctuation and grammar means a lot on forums worldwide. I suggest you take some advice and write concise statements to improve your current image on the Internet. What the hell is "bruv"?

5) Finally, you're new here. I suggest you read some past threads and topics to see how people are on these forums. You can't just show up and expect everyone to bow down to your bookings, regardless of your past history. I've never heard of your organization... hell, you can be another 514 Productions with the way you're acting.

And I am silly.

Posted by dirtymontreal on Apr-23-2006 20:57:

OK

I am more then satisfied that we discussed this topic in length. Everyone else?

peace

LOL

dude,

taking it a little personal there buddy, first off "criticism off forums so religiously" not at all, im just saying that the way you replied to this post was un called for and the way you accused dirtymontreal to have never booked desyn is just plane stupid, i am new to the forums yes i do have respect to those who have been here for ages, and have seniority over me, but im not one to stand by and read an absolute idiotic post ( no offence ) putting down an organization thats trying hard to give this city the chance to see top class djs.... its just uncalled for.
no disrespect to you or anyone on the forums and i don't think of myself as being someone at all im just a regular human being.
and "bruv" is "Brother" in british slang.

cheers
maher daniel
